Getting famous on social media has become a norm today! Admit it or not, almost every one of us dreams of celebrity-like fame and fortune. Be it a brand, fashion blogger, startup, or a music fan; everyone is looking for ways to get noticed online. That said, here are the seven pro tips I found the best to expand your following and get your name out on social media platforms.

Find A Unique Skill Or Feature To Promote

People get famous on social media by utilizing their strengths, promoting their skill or talent, or whatever quality that makes them unique! So, in my opinion, the first pro tip is to discover what it is about your personality that will attract a following.

Do you love acting, photography, videography, or singing? Social media is indeed the best place to promote this. People love watching funny videos. So, if you have comedic talent, try it! Are you a supermodel, or do you live a glamorous life? If yes, flaunt on social media. There are endless examples! Know what you want to promote.

Choose One Platform, But Be Present Everywhere

Now that you know what to promote, it’s time to choose a core social media platform to promote it. You’ll use all the platforms to attract a huge following; you are likely to be successful on one or two platforms than the others.

So, choose the one but be everywhere! One useful tactic is to post everywhere once a while. Here are some of the tips you can consider while choosing a core platform-

  • If you are an influencer, you must create a Facebook page irrespective of the niche you are in. It is a huge social media giant that receives traffic from all the demographics.
  • If you are a YouTube personality, it’s a great idea to upload your videos on your Facebook page for an extended reach.
  • If you are more about visuals, Instagram is an incredible platform for you. For example, if you are a travel enthusiast, you can use Instagram to promote travel photography blogs.
  • If you know how to make wise use of words, or you are skilled enough to convey your message in 140 characters, you are likely to succeed on Twitter.
  • If you want to entice people with your videos, YouTube is the best place to express yourself.

Speak More With Few Words

It’s the era of micro-interaction where people don’t have much time to read those long posts. Here, the key is to cut down the text or speak more with fewer words or visuals. If you must write something, keep it unique, engaging, and compelling enough that the user can’t help but view the content.

Quality Posts Are A Must

Whether it is a picture or a brand endorsement, plan every detail of your content. Though it requires time and effort, it will pay-off in the long run! Keep posting unique, engaging, and authentic content. If you post photos or videos, edit the content to make it look refined and professional.

Also, quality needs to be supported by the quantity! So, it is crucial to post regularly in the audience’s feed. Know the best time to post on Facebook, Instagram, or whatever platform you choose, and give the best you can. You can schedule your social media posts to remain consistent and maximize your reach.

Stand Out From The Crowd

Be classy, funny, cool, fashionable, or anything! Give the viewers a reason to differentiate you from the others. Build your own brand. Or, create a unique identity so that you never have to force anyone to like you!

Involve Your Followers In The Discussion

It’s good to be professional, but there is no harm in loosening that tie sometimes! No one likes to read ‘I, me, my, myself’ posts every time. Post what your followers love. Interact with them and involve them in the discussion. This way, you don’t have to brag about yourself.

Be Consistent

Again, use the consistency tactic. If you are funny, remain funny! Represent yourself the way you are. Keep uploading high-quality content, and be consistent with the communication. Frequent changes in your brand image may cause them to lose interest in you.

Wrapping Up

Now that you’ve seven pro tips in your arsenal, it isn’t that hard to get famous on social media. Keep posting cool stuff, target the right audience, analyze your performance, and repeat.
