I am glad to share that I interviewed with Novartis Healthcare for their Associate Analyst, although I could make it only to the 3rd round which was the last elimination round. This article includes a description of each round of interviews and the kind of questions you may expect from them. So, if you are about to appear or are preparing to appear for such a role in the future, give it a read!

The generics division produces and markets a range of generic drugs for various therapeutic areas, while the eye care division focuses on developing and marketing products for eye diseases and conditions.

The company has a strong focus on sustainability, and is committed to reducing its environmental impact, promoting ethical business practices, and ensuring access to its products for all patients who need them.

The Job Expectation:

It is very important to understand the job role because it tells you about what the company is expecting from your candidacy.

My Experience:

Novartis visited our campus for Associate Analyst and the eligibility criteria were 60% throughout the academic career and no backlogs.

Round 1: Online Assessment Test

Online assessment test includes solving 45 questions to be solved in a time span of 60 minutes. Questions were from aptitude and verbal.

32 students out of 873 could make it to the next round and I was one of them.

Round 2: Technical Interview

Right after shortlisting, we received mail from a recruiter for the next technical round interview which was scheduled one week after the OAT. The technical interview comprised of 2 people who had vast working experience in the domain. Most of the questions they asked were from my projects and the research paper. In-depth knowledge of each of the things mentioned in the resume is needed in this round. They asked me various questions from my project and research paper. They asked me my interest from the 3 profiles given and I chose Data Management. This round lasted for more than 30 mins.

18 out of 32 students could make it to the next round and I was one of them.

Round 3: Technical Interview

The interviewer was from the domain we chose in the last round. I chose it for the role of Data Management. He asked me various questions about the things mentioned in my resume and then asked me various question basic questions about ML, DL, and NLP.

Unfortunately, I could not make it to the next round and it was the final elimination round and 9 out of 18 were selected.

Round 4: HR Interview

At last, 9 students (7 girls and 2 boys) were selected from our campus.

My key takeaways:

  1. Do not hesitate to ask anything to the interviewer if you are not clear about the question he asked.

2. Should have in-depth knowledge of the things mentioned in the resume.

3. Speak slowly (as I speak with the frequency of 2x) and fluently.

4. Consider rejection as part of learning as it’s gonna help you in other interviews.

Do let me know if this helped you and also comment down if there’s any query that I can help you with. I wish you all the best!
