Colorado: Buffalo Ranch Haunting

In Denver, Colorado their is a Ranch and a two story house on the property that was built in the 1860's. It was originally built by the patrick family which consisted of Mr. and Mrs. patrick along with their five boys. They ended up building this house as a stage stop on the Genesee Mountain. It is said that one of the past caretakers wife who was staying in a trailer in the backyard would not set foot in the main house because she saw strange things and thought it was haunted. One person in the family of the new owner remembers one night when she was twelve she heard her mom upstairs screaming and their pet dog was barking at the wall. The girl and her father went upstairs and the mother stated that she had seen a floating glowing green orb go down the hall and disappear through the wall. About six months later another creepy thing occured when the new owners heard music in the middle of the night almost like a fiddle or violin. The sound of the haunting music continued a couple more times throughout that year. A few years later a book was read by a local historian which talked about the history of not only the house but also the Patrick family. The first murder in that county happened in this front yard when one of the brothers murdered another brother over a dog. It was said that this brother was known to play the fiddle and also is buried somewhere in the yard.

Connecticut: Midnight Mary

In Connecticut one popular ghost story is about a woman named the Midnight Mary. The Midnight Mary was a woman named Mary Hart who passed away in 1872 and was layed to rest at Evergreen Cemetary. This urban legend discusses that it was thought that she was doing chores when suddenly she fell down and she was presumed dead around midnight but the question is was she ever dead to begin with. The story has been said that her aunt awoke from a nightmare where she dreamt that mary was buried alive. Her aunt then convinced her family to exhume (dig up) the body and once that was done they ended up finding fingernails which showed she tried to claw her self out. When looking at her tombstone it was written

THE PEOPLE SHALL BE TROUBLED AT MIDNIGHT AND PASS AWAY AND THE MIGHTY SHALL BE TAKEN AWAY WITHOUT HAND.

The wording on her gravestone seems to show a warning that anyone that is caught around her graveyard around midnight will pass away. However that is not known to be completely true. One example of creepy things that have occured around this graveyard occured in 1999. In this year the cemetaries general manager got a call of the security alarm going off. The man looked around and saw not one police man answered the call. The call got shut off and the manager tried to get in his car but it was almost like it was being held back. He looked at the radio and realized it had moved from 11:59 to midnight.

Delaware:Lum's Pond State Park

In Delaware there is a state park called Lum's Pond State Park and this park is the home to the largest freshwater pond in the state. It is also home to a creepy tale. In the 1800's their is a tale of a girl who ran away from her home to this park. Sadly that choice would be the worst of her life. Legend says that this girl used this park as shelter. However what ended up happening was she was murdered in cold blood. It is said that her screams can be heard to this day.

Florida: Florida Brewing Company

Not all ghost stories have to be scary, take the ghost of the Florida Brewing Company for example. To celebrate the opening of their brewery in 1997 they through a grand opening celebration which they hoped would also bring foot traffic to the company. To celebrate free beer was given to eager customers. In this excitement a fight ended up breaking out which ended up turning extremely violent. In this process a cuban man got extremely drunk and hurt his head during the brawl which made him die. It has been said that to this day he is seen stumbling around the brewery looking for his missing half empty beer. His voice has also been heard slurring his speech discussing the fight that took his life. It seem's that he is unwilling to leave the place of his death.

Georgia: Ghost of little Gracie

In Georgia- Savannah, Georgia to be exact there is a ghost story that is very well known and that is the story of little Grace Watson. Grace Watson was the daughter of W.J. and Frances Watson. This family was known because they managed a hotel named the Pulaski hotel. The little girl alot of time was seen around the hotel entertaining tree or being outside among nature. You could say she was the greeter of the hotel. Sadly however in 1889, two days before easter the little girl passed away from pneumonia. The hotel was demolished after her death. Her father who was a sculpter made a life size sculpture of little Grace to put by her gravestone. It is said that since she died she has been seen around Johnston Square running throught the bushes and interacting with people. Most sightings have seen the little girl late at night silently gliding in a white dress.
