The author recounts a story of their family history, beginning with their mother's cousin, Zehra Khala, and their marriage to Uncle Shehzad. The author's mother was a normal woman, but her father, Uncle Shahzad, was a forest officer who was extremely handsome. The author's mother doubted that Uncle Shahzad's mother John had deliberately chosen Zahra Khala by leaving more than one beautiful girl so she wouldn't rule over his heart.

The author's uncle Shehzad married Zehra Khala twenty-five or twenty-six years ago, and they had an uneventful marriage. Uncle Shehzad was not happy about the marriage, as many of his affairs were known to the whole family. They lived outside the house, and their visits increased. In a few years, they would have two daughters, Ayman and Suman.

The author's mother and the author often went to Zehra Khala's place, but Uncle Shehzad was never in the house. His mother was alive at the time, and she blamed Zahra Khala for the marriage. Uncle Shehzad's detachment from the house was due to Zehra mocking Aunty's poor appearance. Sometimes, the accusations turned towards only the two daughters, as if only Aunt Zahra was guilty of not being able to have a son.

As time progressed, Uncle Shahzad's disbelief and aloofness turned into regular dislike. Zahra Khala's mother-in-law Babang-i-Dahal, uncle Shahzad's wife, was a widow, and the author's mother-in-law was a widower. The author's story highlights the importance of family relationships and the consequences of not having a strong relationship.

The story revolves around a mother-in-law who announces her second marriage to a woman named Zahra Khala. The mother is concerned about the future of their son, who has forgotten the house's appearance and is haunted by the presence of an ugly woman. Uncle Shehzad's mother, who is a widow, is also concerned about the fate of their daughter-in-law.

The family does not lose their hands or feet in the burden of getting Uncle Shehzad's second marriage. However, they do not lose their fortune with any regular second marriage. However, there are strange incidents in their fate that cause concern for the entire family.

Sometimes, the family does not see the house's appearance and returns home in such a way that they stop stepping out of it. Zahra Khala's aunt's mother-in-law's body was on fire, and Uncle Shahzad quit his job altogether. The innermost rooms of the house were sitting in fear, and the family was only satisfied when Zahra Khala was with him.

As the author moves to a remote area, a series of terrible incidents start happening to them. One evening, while passing through a deserted place, the author experiences a strange feeling and a strange smell. They realize that their employee is sleeping in the same room as them and feels ashamed to call him to make his bed downstairs.

In the middle of the night, the author wakes up and hears a voice hitting their ears. The sound is louder and louder, and the smell is stronger as if something is burning. The room starts shaking, and the sound is louder and louder. The room becomes dark, and the author tries to call the employee but is unsuccessful.

As the author gets out of bed, she finds the woman sitting on the swing, wearing a long white dress and putting her long hair in front of her face. She takes long swings with her head bowed, raising her bowed head slowly and then focusing on the author. The woman's red, terrifying eyes fix on the author, making the story a haunting tale of love, loss, and the power of fear and misunderstanding.
