Once upon a time, in a grand old mansion set in the heart of the English countryside, there lived a young governess named Caroline. She had been hired to take care of two orphaned children, Miles and Flora, who were under the guardianship of their uncle, a wealthy and absentee gentleman who rarely visited the estate.
