Generations of people had heard the story of the Wailing Woman. It was rumored that a woman's cries could be heard resonating through the streets of the village on quiet evenings. The cries were thought to be coming from the ghost of a woman who had tragically passed away and was now pacing the hamlet looking for her kid. A young pair named Maria and Juan were going home one evening after a party. Although they had heard the tales of the Wailing Woman, they didn't take them seriously. They were walking down the dark, deserted street when they abruptly heard a lady crying. They took a glance around, but no one was in sight. They made an effort to disregard the cries and carried on moving.

The screams, however, became louder and more urgent as they got closer to their house. After rounding a corner, Maria and Juan noticed a woman standing in the center of the road. She was wearing a torn white dress and had messy hair. She was sobbing uncontrollably, her visage twisted in pain. The woman blocked Maria and Juan's attempt to past her. Her fingertips, which were as cold as ice, extended towards them. She begged for assistance. "My kid has passed away. Please, you need to assist me.

The couple was terrified, but they felt obligated to assist the lady. She pointed to a nearby cemetery when they inquired where her child was. "That's where my baby is buried," she explained. "Please, you must assist me in locating him." Maria and Juan hesitated before agreeing to assist the lady. They tracked her down to the cemetery, where they looked for the woman's infant. They could sense an eerie presence watching them as they looked around. They were startled to hear the sound of a baby wailing. They followed the sound to a grave partly overgrown with weeds. The woman knelt and started digging frantically. Maria and Juan assisted her, and they shortly discovered a small wooden coffin.

The lady opened the coffin and took a bundle of rags from it. She sobbed as she clutched the bundle to her bosom. "I appreciate it," she said. "Thank you for assisting me in finding my child." Maria and Juan were relieved to be able to depart. But as they turned to leave, they noticed the woman's expression shift. Her lips contorted into a demonic snarl as her irises turned red. "You shouldn't have come here," she snarled. "You'll never leave now." Maria and Juan attempted to flee, but the lady was too swift. Her cries turned to rage as she pursued them through the cemetery. They stumbled and collapsed, and the woman drew closer.

The church bells started to ring just as they thought the end was near. The lady came to a halt and covered her ears. She shrieked and vanished into the darkness. Maria and Juan never mentioned their meeting with the Wailing Woman again. They were aware that they had barely avoided death. They couldn't escape the feeling that the woman's ghost was still lurking around, waiting for her next victims.

A group of tourists visited the village years afterward. They'd heard about the Wailing Woman and wanted to see if the tales were true. They were walking down the dark, deserted streets when they heard the sound of a woman's screams. They glanced around but couldn't find anyone. The tourists realised they had made a terrible error as the cries became louder and more desperate. They attempted to flee, but the Wailing Woman had already caught up with them. Her cries turned into rage, and the tourists realized they'd never leave the hamlet alive.
