Let me tell you everything I know about Holliston. It currently resides in Massachusetts. That ended faster than expected. That is the extent of my knowledge of the location. My knowledge of Holliston the universe is growing quickly. The television show paints the idea that in this universe horror references abound, and horror celebrities inhabit the strange, absurd, rock fueled, scare grasped world. There are no sitcoms on quite like Holliston. Perhaps never will be. Yet, it never quite got the fanfare it deserved until it was all but too late.

Holliston, brainchild of Writer/Director/Actor/ Creator Adam Green and Director/Executive Producer/Actor Joe Lynch. The show debuted in 2012 on the now defunct FearNet.com The program scored fairly high from critics and fans. I just believe it had a huge lack of gestational period. It was unceromoniously cut off before it could fully grow to life. This was a passion project of Adams, you can tell as he happily subverts your sitcom expectations to create something fun and feeling fresh.

This show has a lot going for it. Playing as almost a horror geeks version of Big Bang Theory meets Monty Python tinged by dark and absurd humor. Anything could conceivably happen in the Holliston world. Dee Sniders Lance Rockett forever being stuck in the 80's. Two actors that have played Jason Voorhees appear in the same episode. From Oderus Urungus playing an imaginary friend, who happens to be a space alien living in Adam's closet. Being a horror infused show, we are treated to many sight gags and special effects; razor slices, decapitations, throats slit, and countless other imaginative horror. Sometimes fantasies quickly turn into hilarious, deadly nightmares.

The cast perfectly rounds out the show. Adam Green and Joe Lynch bring their real life friendship onto to screen. The females that make up the cast are Corri English as Adam's ex girlfriend. And Laura Ortiz as Joe's quirky, darkly ditzy girlfriend. The girls are beyond cute and not afraid to get dirty, or stay in their comfort zone. Dee Snider and Oderus Urungus make up the main players guiding the boys, regardless of whether it's good advice or not. A darkly comic look into the lives of aspiring horror filmmakers, and small Massachusetts town.

It took quite some time to really build up steam as show but it has found new life on Shudder. It really has room to grow now. No constraints. Just binge watching and clamoring for more. I know myself and many of geeks love and appreciate this show and its humor. If I crave watching more, that must mean something. If so many people are buzzing for new information on Season 3. We need this show as fans. Nay, we need this new season, as a Nation.

Since it's cancellation, they've created a few specials, short films, and table/live readings, but can it satiate the hardcore, clamoring fans? Anything we get from Holliston, the better. It needed at least one more season to fully hit its stride.

Shudder would directly collect on the long gestated, cult classic series. If a new season were to happen, they'd have a built in fan base. Fans would eat it up. Shudder would receive an influx of subscribers because of the relaunch. This could go down a few paths. Only time and fate will tell.

With all workings of a fun and darkly wild show, it stands a revival is in order. Or has been for quite sometime. A few false alarms a long the way. Hope still exist. Hey we've waited this long for Holliston. We never thought we would get The Snyder Cut of Justice League, but here we are. Why have we yet to get Season 3? Holliston lives.
