There was only one rule: don’t open the door. A rule that was placed on a sticker next to it. My heart skipped as I tried to figure out how I got there. And how I was going to get out of this room. All that was in it was me. A small twin sized mattress that was laying on the floor. A dresser that had none of its drawers on it.

A small nightstand table without a drawer either.

An open closet with a door that was off its hinges. Which was empty. Like everything else in this stupid room. As I tried searching for any hints on how to get out of the room. There weren’t any windows in it. And I couldn’t understand how I ended up in this place. I tried to check in any space that I could. And I found nothing. There wasn’t anything else aside from the one note. No other ones about why I was there or who took me. Just that I couldn’t leave the room. As I tried to find another way around the front door, I found an odd handle in the closet. One that took a bit of effort to yank open. Revealing a small opening that smelled dusty. But other than that, it seemed pretty safe, and it was better than just being trapped. And there was oddly enough a flashlight hanging in the small space.

That should have been my first clue this was wrong.

But I was too desperate to get free to even start to care. So, I took it and dropped down inside. Closing the door behind me. Only hearing the scratching a few seconds after crawling through the tunnel. I wish I hadn’t gone in.
