Chrissy immediately regretted going for her morning jog. The sky was clear allowing the sun to bare down its full intensity onto her skin. What little breeze there was stung her lungs with an uncomfortable warmness. Each breath was suffocating. It didn't take long before she decided she was done with this excruciating mess and made her way back home.

Chrissy felt a wave of relief wash over her as she approached her doorstep. She bends down to get her keys from a little ankle pouch that's strapped around her ankle. She begins to stand back up and hears a man clear his throat behind her, causing her to whirl around, dropping her keys in the process. Standing before her is a tall man dressed in a brown shirt and shorts holding a box.

"Can I help you?" Chrissy said in a slightly startled voice.

"Yes, if you could just sign here please." the man replied.

"I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong house." Chrissy said as she bent down to pick up her keys.

The man pulls a receipt book from his back pocket and studies it for a moment.

"You are Chrissy McNeil right?" he said as he presented the booklet to her.

Looking down at the receipt, she begins to shake her head yes.

"Yea but.." Chrissy began to say but was rudely cut off by the man.

"Listen, can you please just sign this? I have a schedule to keep here." he said hurriedly.

Chrissy takes the receipt book and signs her name. The man snatches it back from her and tosses her the box. She stares at him, astounded by his rudeness, as he walks away. As soon as the man is no longer in sight, she unlocks the front door and walks in. No sooner than she's through the door all the cool air envelopes her, triggering her to let out a sigh of relief. She quickly closes the door. She walks over to the couch, sits down, and sets the box on the coffee table. The box is wrapped in brown Kraft paper and the writing on the label is illegible. She picks up the box and places it next to her ear giving it a slight shake. Hearing nothing she sets it back down.

Chrissy gets up, walks over to an end table, and pulls a pair of scissors from a drawer. She sits back down on the couch and as she is about to open the box her cell phone rings.

"Hey Mom." Chrissy said as she leans back into the couch.

"Hi honey, I was calling to remind you about the banquet dinner tomorrow night. You are going right?"

Chrissy hesitated for a moment. "Yes, Mom I'll be there."

"Good and please don't be late! It would be embarrassing not to be on time to accept the twenty thousand dollar scholarship that you've been awarded." her mother said in a stern tone.

"I know, I know. By the way, did you order anything for me and have it shipped to my house?" Chrissy said as she stared at the box.

For a moment there was silence on the other end of the phone, "No, I don't think so, why?"

"A package was delivered to me today. I can't read anything on the label and there's no company logos or any other kind of labeling on it." Chrissy said.

"Did you see who delivered it or was it just left outside?" her mom questioned.

"A man delivered it and had me sign for it. The receipt had my name and address on it. There was really nothing else on the receipt."

"Well maybe there's something inside it that will let you know where it came from."

"Okay, I'm going to get off here and open it up." Chrissy said as she sat up on the couch. "I'll call you later."

"Alright honey, love you."

"Love you too." Chrissy said as she hung up the phone.

Grabbing the scissors, she picks the box up and places it in her lap. After cutting and pulling off the Kraft paper, she notices that there are some letters embedded on the box underneath some clear packing tape. "BMOTC." she says aloud. She continues to open the box. As she pulls the side flaps up, crinkle paper falls to the floor. A single sheet of paper lays on top. She picks up the paper and it reads:

Greetings Miss. McNeil,

You are receiving this letter on the behalf of the BMOTC. On August the 15th, 2020, you unknowingly participated in a medical assessment that was provided by the Quick Care Treatment Center. Documents state that you were referred to the QCTC by someone distributing flyers, announcing that new patients were being accepted. The results of your medical assessment were flawless. Two weeks after your assessment you should had received an unmarked letter that was hand delivered by a corporate associate. The contents of the letter contained specific instructions regarding your participation. If you no longer wished to participate in our continued agenda, you were to fill out the form, and deliver the letter and form to a specific location. Since you neglected to do so, your participation is still on going. Your next instructions are to reach into the box, all the way to the bottom, with both hands simultaneously. Two items lay at the bottom of the box that you must retrieve. Thank you for your co-operation.

Best Regards,

BMOTC Management

Leaning back, Chrissy lets out a deep breath. Tapping her fingers nervously on the couch, she sits back up and begins reaching down into the box. As her hands fumble through the crinkle paper, something pierces a finger on her right hand. She gasps as she jerks her hands from the box and jumps up from the couch. Her phone rings and she hesitantly answers it.

"Someone will be with you shortly..."

Before Chrissy can say anything, there's a loud deep knock on the front door. Panicking, she runs through the living room to the front door. As she opens it, there's a man wearing a white button up shirt, black vest and pants, accompanied with black glasses.

"Good day Miss. McNeil. We received a signal that the injection GPS system was activated."

Horrified, Chrissy attempts to slam the door shut. The man quickly throws an arm out and catches the door producing a loud bang. She backs away from the door as the man enters, closes the door, and locks it. She turns to run, trying to make her way to the back door in the kitchen. As she approaches the kitchen entry way, another man is at the door closing it behind him. Her eyes widen as she realizes the man now in her kitchen is the same man that delivered the box. In tears she backs up. Her legs start to wobble as she feels a numbness and collapses.

The man in the black vest walks over to Chrissy and kneels down next to her. "Please Miss. McNeil, do not be alarmed. You were administered a high dosage of a sedative. Right now you should be feeling some parts of your body becoming numb."

Helpless all Chrissy can do is watch as the other man approaches her side. As he does so, he sets down a duffel bag and a red cooler. She starts crying hysterically as she reads the words BLACK MARKET ORGAN TRADING COMPANY on the cooler.

"Now Miss. McNeil, there's no need for all of that." the man in the black vest said as he rubbed her head. "You should almost be completely numb now Miss. McNeil. In a few moments you will be unconscious." He removes his black glasses. "You have reached the final stage of our agenda and I would like to thank you on the behalf of the BMOTC for your participation."

The man in the black vest unbuttons his vest and shirt cuffs, and rolls up the sleeves. He reaches into a pocket inside his vest and pulls out a little black book. He opens the book and flips threw a few pages then stops on a page. "I believe you are scheduled to have your liver, kidneys, eyes, and heart retrieved today Miss. McNeil." he said with an unnatural smile.

Chrissy's eyes sight is extremely blurry. She can hear the other man sharpening something that sounds metallic. Her eyes begin to close as the man in the vest leans in over her face, grinning and says, "This...will all be over soon Miss. McNeil."
