I just learned about this creepy place and had to research this lesser-known haunted place in Peru. I have heard of so many places around the world being possibly haunted but, this one I had never heard of. The story of the hauntings is fascinating also. So let's dive into these neat hauntings I found on a few sites.

The first ghost story had been said by the U.S embassy. They had the building right next door to the casa. The embassy made up ghost stories to keep the enemy out of the casa so they could not use it to spy on them.

La Casa Matusita was built sometime around colonial times. It is said to be one of the most haunted homes in Latin America. There are many different stories attached to this house. It first starts out by saying that the house could be built on a cursed land that dates back to Spanish colonialism. Then a lady named Dervaspa Parvaneh was suspected of practicing witchcraft so she was burned at the stake on the land. And other site said she had lived here in the casa and she put a curse on the land and house before she had died. Anyone who inhabited the house is said to die a gruesome death.

It is said that her curse actually worked and a rich man bought the house sometime after. He was very abusive to his servants. The servants decided to get their revenge. One night the rich man was having a dinner party and the servants put a hallucinogenic drug inside their drinks. Not enough to kill them. When the dinner started the servants her evil laughing and screaming coming from the dining room. Once all went quiet they went to see what had happened. They say everyone went mad and they had torn each other to pieces, ripping off legs and arms. Blood was running down the walls. Was a very gruesome scene. After seeing this the servants had to spend the rest of their lives in a mental institution.

Then nearly a century later a Japanese man with his family purchased the casa. All went well for a long time. A nice wholesome family. Then the demons of the casa took over. The man became angry. He came home to his wife having an affair. He stabbed the wife and her lover then turned and used the knife on his own children than himself.

The last one is that in the 1970s a tv personality named Humberto Vilchez Vera claimed he could spend a full week 7 days and 7 nights inside La Casa Matusita. He did not even make it a night. He was found 4 hours after starting babbling and terrified. He had to spend time in a psychiatric hospital and never spoke of what happened inside that house.

A ghost hunter claimed that never happened and it was only made up to increase audience views to the tv channel.

There have been more happenings like priests attempting exorcisms, and even whole families have gone mad. This house is not filled with good spirits by the sounds of it.

If you are ever in Peru, I guess you can do a tour but I don't think I would chance to go mad like other people. I think I would stay far far away from this place. I do not know if the tours are still going on, the last thing I see about the tours is back in 2019. If you know more please leave it in the comments and let others know maybe your experience with this place or your own supernatural experience.
