Crisp and cold was the best way to describe how the area felt right about now. Nyx and her friends stood in front of the entrance to the rumored haunted cemetery. “Well here we are everyone. So... who is gonna go in first?” One of the males, Aaron had spoke. Aaron had been talking to the group of friends about this cemetery for months. But even he seemed hesitant on entering the graveyard first, to much of a scaredy-cat of the unknown. The group of friends looked at each other and stood silent, not one wanting to speak up or move first. With a huff and kick of her combat boots Nyx finally spoke up and stated “I’ll go, figuring that no one else wants to go.” With that she turned heel towards the gate, once there she undid the latch and headed into the graveyard. The air seeming thick yet colder once she stepped past the threshold.

Once a little distance in, she turned to face the iron entrance to call out to her group. “The night isn’t getting any younger you pansies. Let’s get a move on and explore.” Her voice carrying far in the otherwise empty cemetary. The group of friends finally broken from their dazed stupor ventured into the graveyard to meet with their now appointed leader of their group. Once reunited with everyone it seemed as if a light fog started to encase the area of the iron gates. Slowly rolling in as if the fog was following them. As the group ventured in further, armed only with glow sticks and flashlights; the maze of tombstones and mausoleums they tried to find a good spot to settle before taking out any of their equipment or gear. Once in a good spot they took out a large blanket they had brought and laid it on the cold ground. As soon as the blanket was set and settled the group sat on the ground in a circle, the same way they do when ever they messed around with the spirit boards.

Aaron unzipped his bag and took out the small spirit box as well as the EMF reader and the spirit board. Another female Rose pulled out three cameras and tripod’s from her bag and set them up around the small group wanting to make sure every thing was covered from each angel. The moment everything was set up, turned on, checked and ready it felt as if the air had dropped even colder than it was a few minutes prior. Everyone settled back down around the board and spirit box, and almost as if on que the EMF reader had started going off. “What in the world? We just sat down...” Aaron stated, curious as to why it was already detecting something around them. Normally when they would do these little adventures it would take minutes even hours before they caught something, never seconds. Shaking it off Nyx had simply said “maybe it’s something watching us, maybe it’s nothing. We don’t know yet, let’s try and ask some questions first. Make contact with something or someone before we deem anything paranormal or supernatural.” As soon as she was done speaking she placed her hand over the spirit box to block the white noise before calling out to the unknown. After she removed her hand the group waited in anticipation for a few moments before something spoke through the white noise. “Fi-nally” the deep voice broke through the air.

The group gasped in shock and surprise at the response they had gotten. Rose covered the speaker before asking “have you been waiting for company? Have you been lonely?” She then removed her hand, the group waiting with bated breath. Luckily the small group did not have to wait long almost soon after they recieved a deep, garbled “y-es, very lo-nely”. It was the same voice that had came through the first time. At that moment the fog from earlier had rolled in closer to the group, covering the ground and tombstones behind and around them. The air now felt charged, almost as if touching an old box TV screen. Not only did it feel eletricalily charged it also felt ominous and negatively charged. Tristan, the other male in the group took a moment to cover the speaker and asked “are you good or evil?” And for the first moment since the anomaly had been speaking with them, it was silent. Almost as if refusing to answer the question.

In that moment, everything seemed to have stilled. Almost as if the world had just paused; everything felt as if it had stopped and also felt as if it was closing in on everything. Tristan tried again and repeated his question, but this time it all of their flashlights flickered before completely dying and shutting off. “Dammit! These were fresh batteries when we pulled up here earlier.” Tristan exclaimed as the darkness closed in on the group. Only visible to each other due the glow sticks that hung around their necks. In which point a loud ‘thud’ was heard as well as clattering as one of the tripod’s fell to the side and camera falling off it‘s mount on mentioned tripod. No wind was on the forecast for the evening so that couldn’t have been the reason for the camera to fall over. The air around them seemed to vibrate with anger and rage as another camera fell. With only one camera still standing Rose, quickly jumped to her feet and stood behind the camera. Hands firmly holding the tripod to make sure this one wouldn’t suffer the same fate as the others. Taking a glance down into the display screen of the camera, she took the moment to pan over the group with the camera before stopping on Nyx’s frame.

Rose let out a freightened gasp at the image she saw; a dark figure stood behind Nyx, almost looming over her. And in that moment it placed both clawed hands on the females shoulders; Nyx felt as though if something was grabbing her but when she looked up she didn’t see anything. Just a dark shadow but in the view finder of the camera it’s image was almost clear. Horns peeking through on the sides of the figures head, clawed hands gripping the females shoulders, menacing crimson orbs glaring into the camera until the view finder and lense cracked. Upon hearing the cracking of the glass Nyx was shoved roughly to the cemetery ground and dragged into the fog. Her scream ripping through the air as her group just watched in fear as their friend was dragged into the unknown.

It seemed like she was dragged for so long but was in reality was a few short moments, but when she finally urged her eyes open her surroundings were different. The moon was covered in a crimson red color, the night sky seemed even darker than normal and the fog was no longer there but replaced wit smoke. She then looked above her and finally saw what had dragged her and another scream ripped through her vocal chords. A tall demon like creature stood over her with a sickening smile. Sharp teeth bared and red eyes wide and staring at her. Her fear rising as it knelt closer to her, a growl coming out from deep within the demons chest. The growl seemed to stop her in her tracks and she quieted almost instantly. “Now now, Nyx you don’t have anything to fear.” The creature stated, brown eyes widening in fear as she stuttered out her response. “H-how do you know my name? Wh-what do you w-want from me?” Silent tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued to stare at the creature next to her. “I’ve known you for many centuries, I’ve searched and searched for you. And now I’ve finally found you. I am Malachi. And you don’t know long I’ve suffered waiting for you.”
