As a young girl, Emily had always loved dolls. Her room was filled with them, ranging from porcelain to plastic. But there was one doll that stood out from the rest, a small porcelain doll with a red dress and black hair. Emily had received the doll as a gift from her grandmother, who had claimed that the doll was special and had been passed down through generations of their family. Emily didn't believe in such things, but she treasured the doll nonetheless.

Years went by, and Emily grew up. She moved out of her childhood home and started a family of her own. But she couldn't bring herself to part with the doll. It sat on a shelf in her new home, watching over her family with its lifeless eyes. But something was wrong. Emily could feel it.

One night, as Emily was putting her children to bed, she heard a noise coming from the living room. She went to investigate and found the doll sitting in the middle of the room, its head turned to face her. Emily tried to shrug it off, thinking that maybe one of her children had moved it. But the doll kept appearing in different places around the house, and Emily couldn't shake the feeling that it was watching her.

As the days passed, strange things began to happen in the house. Objects would move on their own, doors would open and close, and Emily could hear faint whispers in the dead of night. She knew that something was wrong, but she couldn't bring herself to get rid of the doll. It was like a part of her childhood, and she didn't want to let it go.

One night, as Emily was getting ready for bed, she heard a loud thud coming from her children's room. She rushed to their door and found the doll sitting on her daughter's bed, its lifeless eyes staring straight ahead. Emily tried to pick up the doll, but it was stuck to the bed as if glued down. She tugged harder and harder, but the doll wouldn't budge.

Suddenly, the doll's head turned to face her, and its eyes began to glow red. Emily screamed and ran out of the room, not looking back until she was at the other end of the house. She tried to convince herself that it was just her imagination, that the doll couldn't possibly be alive. But deep down, she knew that it was.

The following night, Emily heard a soft knocking on her bedroom door. She sat up in bed and called out, but there was no response. She got out of bed and opened the door, but there was no one there. She turned to go back to bed, but then she saw it. The doll, sitting at the foot of her bed, its eyes still glowing red.

Emily backed away slowly, her heart racing. She knew that she had to get rid of the doll, but she didn't know how. As she turned to run out of the room, the doll lunged at her, its porcelain hands reaching out to grab her. Emily screamed and fell to the floor, her head hitting the ground with a sickening thud.

When Emily's husband came home from work the next day, he found her lying on the floor, her lifeless eyes staring up at the ceiling. The doll was nowhere to be found, but he knew that it had something to do with her death. He packed up the house and moved his family far away, never speaking of the haunted doll again.

Years later, a young girl stumbled upon the doll in an antique store. She didn't know of its history, and she didn't know of the curse that came with it. But she would soon find out.
