The Feral People Living in The Appalachian Mountains

The Legend

For years, there have been legends that Feral people live in the mountains of Appalachia. However, many even narrow these people to living in the Smoky Mountains. The theories have been around for years and are usually linked with unusual disappearances, but there is no proof of this theory, as it is simply a theory.

The Feral People

The Feral People can also be described as wild humans living outside society's norms and have existed in the mountains for hundreds of years. Someone who can be described as a wild, uncontrolled beast. Some have even described them as being beastlike due to growing up in the mountains and adapting the characteristics of animals.

Even with roots tied to Bigfoot, others wonder if they are a breed of Native Americans that hid during the trail of tears and adapted to their surroundings. Most of these feral people have been reported to be living specifically in National Parks due to the remote vastness of the parks. A place they can live and remain essentially hidden and undisturbed.

Lately, the Feral people have gone viral on TikTok, as many fear them. As well as, the rumor is that they are cannibals living in the national parks and are waiting to attack any hiker alone. Some people on the internet now state they will never go hiking or enter a national park again due to fear of feral people.

Not only do these people who talk about feral people believe they exist, but they have ¨hundreds of eyewitness accounts about these people that the government refuses to investigate¨.

Some even believe the case of Dennis Martin; he was kidnapped in 1969 by the feral people. Dennis was never found, which leaves what happened to him up for debate. In the case of Dennis, during the investigation, Harold Key did hear a ¨terrible scream¨ and saw a figure running through the woods at the time of his disappearance. Key also said it appeared to be a disheveled man hiding in the bushes.

This is debatable in the cryptid or alien community, depending on which side of the fence you sit on. It could be a simple case of a missing kid, unexplained disappearance, a feral human ate him, or a cryptid such as Bigfoot got him, or some believe it could be aliens that abducted him.

Either way, regarding the feral humans, some people believe they are peaceful humans living off the land and want to be left alone.

The one thing we know for sure is that people go missing in the national parks and disappear, and the national parks do not have an answer, which keeps the suspicions of feral people alive.

The legend of feral people has been around since the 1600s when feral and wild children's stories began as myths and legends. The idea of wild children running around on all fours and not speaking the same language as other humans. These stories exist all over the world, not only in the US.

So, it is simply a new trend that feral people exist or an old legend passed down through generations. Or are cannibalistic feral humans roaming the national parks of the United States?

You never know what is possible in this world. How do we know what exists or does not exist especially if you have never seen it with your own eyes. Yet if you do see something bizarre will you even be around to tell your tale? There are some who do live to tell the tale, but often are labeled as crazy.

What do you think?
