Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Emily who lived in a small village at the edge of a dense forest. Emily was an orphan who had been taken in by a kind family in the village. She was a shy and reserved girl who didn't have many friends, but she was content with her simple life.

One day, Emily decided to take a walk in the forest. She had always been curious about the dense trees and the strange sounds that emanated from within. As she wandered deeper into the forest, the trees grew thicker, and the shadows grew darker. Emily felt a chill run down her spine as she heard the sound of twigs snapping underfoot, and the rustling of leaves in the wind.

Suddenly, Emily heard a faint whisper in the distance. She couldn't make out what it was saying, but she felt drawn towards it. She followed the sound until she came upon a clearing in the forest. In the center of the clearing was a strange stone altar, with runes etched into its surface.

Emily felt a sense of unease as she approached the altar. She had a feeling that she shouldn't be there, that something was wrong. But she couldn't resist the urge to touch the runes on the altar.

As soon as her finger touched the stone, Emily felt a surge of energy flow through her body. She felt a strange presence in her mind, like someone was watching her from inside her head. Emily tried to pull away, but her hand was stuck to the altar.

Suddenly, Emily was lifted off the ground and thrown backwards. She landed hard on the forest floor, her head spinning. When she opened her eyes, she saw a figure standing in front of her. It was tall and thin, with long arms that hung down to its knees. Its face was hidden in shadows, but Emily could feel its eyes on her.

"Who are you?" Emily asked, her voice shaking.

The figure didn't respond, but instead stepped closer to her. Emily felt a wave of fear wash over her, and she tried to crawl away. But her body wouldn't move. It was like she was paralyzed.

The figure leaned down and whispered in her ear, "You're mine now."

Emily felt a cold hand grab her by the ankle, and she was dragged across the forest floor towards the altar. She tried to scream, but no sound came out of her mouth. Emily was pulled onto the altar, and the figure began to chant in a language she didn't understand.

Suddenly, Emily felt a sharp pain in her chest. It was like something was trying to claw its way out of her body. She could feel her bones cracking, and her skin tearing. Emily tried to fight back, but she was powerless against the figure's magic.

After what felt like an eternity, the pain subsided, and Emily was left gasping for breath on the altar. Her body had changed. Her eyes were now a deep red, and her skin was covered in strange markings. Emily looked up at the figure, and it smiled.

"You're one of us now," it said.

Emily screamed, but no one could hear her.

Days turned into weeks, and Emily found herself drawn back to the forest, again and again. She had become a creature of the night, a servant of the figure that had claimed her. Emily no longer felt fear or pain, but only a hunger that burned inside her.

She roamed the village at night, searching for prey. Her victims were always alone, always helpless. Emily didn't know what happened to them after she fed, but she didn't care. The hunger always returned, and she needed to feed.

But as time went on, Emily began to feel a sense of guilt. She knew that what she was doing was wrong, but she couldn't stop herself. Emily tried to resist the urge to feed, but the hunger was too strong.

One night, as Emily was wandering through the forest, she came across a group of travelers. They were lost and scared, and they had no idea where they were. Emily could smell the fear and desperation on them, and her hunger grew stronger.

But as she prepared to attack, Emily saw the face of one of the travelers. It was a young girl, not much older than Emily had been when she first entered the forest. Something in the girl's eyes reminded Emily of herself, of the innocence and curiosity she had once possessed.

Emily hesitated, and the travelers ran away. She was alone in the forest once again, with nothing but her hunger for company.

Days turned into months, and Emily continued to roam the forest, searching for prey. But the guilt never left her. She began to wonder if there was a way to break the curse that had been placed upon her.

One night, as Emily was wandering through the forest, she came upon a group of witches. They were gathered around a fire, chanting in a language she didn't understand. Emily watched them from a distance, and she felt a strange sense of familiarity.

As the witches finished their chant, Emily stepped forward. "Can you help me?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

The witches looked at her with suspicion, but one of them stepped forward. "What do you want?" she asked.

"I want to be free," Emily said. "I want to break the curse that has been placed upon me."

The witches looked at each other, and then nodded. "We can help you," they said.

They performed a ritual, and Emily felt a surge of energy flow through her body. She felt the curse begin to break, and the hunger inside her began to subside.

When the ritual was over, Emily looked down at her hands. They were no longer covered in strange markings, and her eyes had returned to their normal color.

"You're free," the witches said. "But be careful. The figure that cursed you will not be happy."

Emily nodded, and then ran out of the forest. She didn't look back, but she could feel the presence of the figure behind her.

Years went by, and Emily lived a normal life. She got a job, made friends, and tried to forget about the curse that had once consumed her.

But one night, as she was walking home from work, Emily heard a familiar whisper in the wind. She turned around, and saw the figure standing behind her.

"You can never escape me," it said.

Emily tried to run, but her feet wouldn't move. She was paralyzed, just like she had been in the forest all those years ago.

The figure leaned in close to her, and whispered in her ear. "You will always be mine."

And then Emily felt the sharp pain in her chest. It was like something was trying to claw its way out of her body.

She screamed, but no one could hear her.

The end.
