Mr. Pitts didn’t know where it came from or how it came, but it was there suddenly in his what became his lonely life. It was visiting him constantly, and it always drew a dark scenario. It was like a rock holding him down making his steps heavier and heavier, prohibiting his progress, making his life into an unknown flight. A heavy cloud indeed, and it reeked of melancholy.

Mr. Pitts found that he was talking to himself when disturbed and listened to it in his dreams whenever those rainy days showed up unexpectedly. Eventually, he was staying up all night with shadows dancing around him as they played with his mind while trying to repel the gray cloud above. It was very annoying, especially when he realized that he was going along with it and doing nothing about it.

He kept thinking that it was his negative and bitter ways or his careless advances through life that this clinging occurred. Mr. Pitts wanted to get rid of this cloud, this thing that bothered him every night. It would flex its strength after he turned off the television right before he went to bed every evening.

One night, he saw its face. He saw it on the TV screen as it reflected in the light, and he stared at it for a while. It was only a reflection as it was not materialized in his living room. It only existed as a reflection on his television screen when it was turned off.

It was smiling with an evil grin.

Mr. Pitts kept looking at it as it moved about and made grotesque faces at him. Mr. Pitts couldn’t believe it. He saw what had clung on to him. Was it an evil spirit? Whatever it was, it was negative energy, and it was making him lose his mind slowly. He was going to act on it and get rid of this trickster.

Mr. Pitts went to the local curandera who knew what this was about. She had her shrines and her saints all about her apartment. He went to her for advice. She knew her game because she had customers galore, and they were always in love with her. She knew all the incantations and spells, and they would always accomplish their purpose. Of course, her services were pricey.

Mr. Pitts asked her if this clinging is possible and the witch said yes. She sat Mr. Pitts down and told him something that he had never heard before. She told him why he had this clinging. It was not fun to hear at all for him, but he endured the telling. His anger grew, and he felt violated.

Mr. Pitts went home with a smile on his face. He had a cigar with him and a rosary—black and shiny. He stepped into his small castle and decided to watch television. He decided that this clinging was going to leave soon.

It was war, but Mr. Pitts had to wait for the right moment. Yes, he chose to get rid of that shitty-clinging-spirit his own way. He was going to make sure that he was going to stick his foot up its ass! The curandera showed Mr. Pitts how to take care of business, and he was ready to go. He was going to go Rambo on this thing.

After, the encounter, Mr. Pitts was going to take a nice walk down to the bar and have a nice whisky. Of course, some beers and a good person to chat with for the evening, This person, however, needed to have a certain dress code for Mr. Pitts. Otherwise, he was just going to drink by his lonesome.
