The Abandoned Cabin

A Terrifying Night in the Woods

By Paranthaman Published about a year ago 3 min read

It was a warm summer night, and Sarah was driving home from her friend's house. She had stayed later than she planned, and now it was well past midnight. The road was deserted, and the only sound was the hum of her car's engine.

As she drove down the long, winding road, she suddenly noticed something in her rearview mirror. It was a car, and it was following her. Sarah tried to shake the feeling off, but the car was still there, getting closer and closer.

She started to feel uneasy and decided to speed up, hoping to leave the other car behind. But the car continued to follow her, and she could see its headlights in her rearview mirror, growing larger and brighter with each passing moment.

Finally, Sarah's nerves got the best of her, and she decided to pull over. The other car pulled up behind her, and a man got out. He approached her car and asked if she was lost or needed help.

Sarah was relieved to see a friendly face and rolled down her window. The man introduced himself as Tom and offered to escort her home, as he was heading in the same direction.

Feeling grateful, Sarah accepted the offer and followed Tom's car. But as they drove further down the road, Sarah started to feel uneasy again. Something about Tom didn't seem right. He kept looking at her, and she could sense that he was up to something.

Suddenly, Tom's car swerved off the road, and Sarah had to brake to avoid hitting him. When she got out to check on him, she saw that his car had crashed into a tree. She tried to help him, but he was already dead.

That's when she heard the sound of footsteps coming from the woods. She turned around and saw a figure walking towards her. It was a man, dressed in black, with a hood over his head.

Sarah tried to run back to her car, but the man was too fast. He grabbed her and dragged her into the woods. Sarah screamed for help, but no one came.

The man took her to an old abandoned cabin, deep in the woods. It was cold and damp, and Sarah could barely see in the darkness. She was terrified, and she knew she had to escape.

As she looked around, she saw a piece of glass on the ground. She picked it up and started to cut through the ropes that bound her hands. It took a while, but eventually, she was free.

Sarah quietly opened the cabin door and slipped outside. But the man was waiting for her. He chased her through the woods, and Sarah ran as fast as she could.

Finally, she saw the lights of a nearby house and ran towards it. The man was still behind her, but Sarah didn't look back. She pounded on the door, begging for help.

The door opened, and a woman appeared. Sarah rushed inside, and the woman locked the door behind her. The man was pounding on the door, but the woman didn't let him in.

Eventually, the man gave up and disappeared into the night. Sarah was safe, but she was traumatized by the experience. She never forgot the terror she had felt that night, and she never drove down that road again.

Years later, Sarah heard about a serial killer who had been operating in the area. He had killed several women, and the police had never been able to catch him. Sarah knew that she had narrowly escaped becoming one of his victims, and she was grateful to be alive. But the memory of that terrifying night stayed with her for the rest of her life
