The Black Eyed Children
What are the black eyed children, are they real or are just a myth? The black eyed children are supposedly paranormal creatures who are the ages between 6-16 years of age. They are creatures who roam the streets and go to houses and knock on people's doors to let them in. Why do they ask to be let in to people's homes? Is it because they want to kill you or just do bad things to you? What do the black eyed children do to people, do they put thoughts in your head to make you do bad things like Slender man does, or do they kill you? No one knows what they do to you, or if they are real or just a myth.

A Trilogy of Yorkshire Witches
As a child Halloween wasn’t the big commercial enterprise that it is now; I along with my sister and brother used to dress up in the obligatory home-made witch or wizard costume which comprised of a bin-bag gown, newspaper hat (coloured in with black paint), and my mother's papier-mâché warts and hook nose. Once dressed we would scour the estate knocking on every door “trick or treating,” returning home some hours later with bags full of sweets. Then we would sit in our bedrooms late into the night scaring the hell out of each other with various ghost stories, often going to bed terrified having convinced ourselves that every shadow or noise in the dark was supernatural. My favourite stories were always the ones about witches, and today they are still my favourites.

The Dover Lights
The Ozark National Forest in northern Arkansas is 1.2 million acres of some of the best that the Natural State has to offer in terms of camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. It is also the home of a mysterious phenomenon that has been recurring almost every night since the 1800s; the Dover Lights.

The Michigan Dogman
I've been interested in Cryptozoology, the paranormal, and supernatural all my life, but I'd never had such a clear encounter with anything until sometime in mid-October, 2016 in West Michigan. In my home, we have a large picture window that allows us to see the neighbors' backyard, garden, and the road in front of the house. My dog spends most of his day looking out this window, barking at the people and their dogs as they pass by. Usually, this usually happens toward the beginning of the day, rarely in the evening. So, when he starts growling at the window at 9:00 at night, I glance out to see what he could be looking at, concerned that someone is up to no good and lurking around.

Comte de Saint Germain
I wrote about Comte de Saint Germain a few years ago. Unfortunately, I no longer have the original article. Before I wrote it, though, I had never heard of this man. I don't actually remember how I discovered him or why. I was recently reminded of him during an episode of Warehouse 13.

The White Lady: An International Phenomenon
You know what one of my favorite stories from the Philippines was? The story of the White Lady. As a kid, I was told the story by my father who said he encountered her on the drive back to our farm in Batangas. As I grew older, I learned that he wasn't the only one. A lot of people from all over the Philippines claim to have seen the White Lady. The stories of who she is and how she came to be vary slightly, as do the accounts of her sightings. The story from my father absolutely chilled me as a child and I wanted to share it.

The Man Behind the Transylvanian Vampire: A Place Worth Visiting
Who was Vlad? The Legend It all started with a book written by Bram Stoker. In this book, he wrote about a vicious blood-sucking creature that would hide from the sun, sleep in coffins, and be pale as snow: the classic vampire that inspired so many others to write about these immortal creatures and develop the story in a more fashionable manner that would attract the public. As you well know, in the modern days it seems rather cool to be a vampire, and it inspires a lot of Halloween costumes. But you would be surprised to know that he didn't really know who Vlad Tepes was. He was inspired by Emily Gerard's article about the superstitions of Transylvania published in 1885, not the voivode.

The Mystery Predators of Britain
I've been intrigued by stories of killer cats loose in Britain's countryside. Sightings of ABC's (Alien Big Cats) have been around for many years; prints, scat, and evidence of cat kills have also been reported. So, do these cats survive in the British countryside?
