The Hollow Men
The Hollow Men In the quiet, fog-shrouded village of Greywick, nestled between jagged cliffs and a restless sea, there was a legend that no one spoke of after dark. It was the tale of the Hollow Men—faceless entities that roamed the moors, their forms shifting like smoke, their presence heralded by the sound of hollow footsteps echoing in the mist.

The Mirror in Room 306
Michael checked into the old hotel just before midnight. It was cheap, run-down, but he didn’t care. He just needed a place to rest for the night. The receptionist handed him the key with a warning. "Room 306 has a mirror. Don’t look into it for too long." Michael chuckled. "Why?" The receptionist just shook his head. "Just don’t." Unnerved but exhausted, Michael took the key and headed upstairs. The room was small and plain—bed, desk, TV. And the mirror. It stood across from the bed, large and old, its frame covered in strange carvings. Michael frowned. What was so special about it? Curiosity won. He stepped closer, looking at his reflection. Nothing unusual. But as he turned away— His reflection didn’t move. Michael’s breath hitched. He spun back. Now, the reflection was normal. Shaking his head, he blamed exhaustion. He climbed into bed, turning away from the mirror. Then— A faint tapping sound. Like fingers against glass. Michael’s skin crawled. Slowly, he turned over. His reflection was standing up. Michael wasn’t moving, but his mirror self was. Then it smiled. Not a normal smile. A wide, unnatural grin that stretched too far. Michael shot up, heart hammering. The reflection copied him again, but its eyes— They weren’t his eyes. They were black. The tapping grew louder. The mirror shook. Then— A whisper. "Let me out." Michael bolted for the door. But before he could escape— The lights flickered. The air turned ice cold. And the mirror— SHATTERED. Glass exploded everywhere. Michael gasped, shielding his face. When he looked up— His reflection was gone. The room was silent. Too silent. Michael slowly turned around— And there, standing behind him, was himself. But with black, empty eyes. The last thing Michael heard before everything went dark was a voice. "You looked too long." The next morning, the hotel staff found room 306 empty. The mirror was intact. And a new reflection stood inside it. Trapped. Waiting.

The House That Called My Name
David never planned to return to his childhood home. After his parents died in a fire when he was ten, he had been sent to live with relatives. The house had been abandoned for years, left to rot at the edge of town. But now, as an adult, he had inherited it. And for some reason, he felt compelled to go back. The moment he stepped inside, the memories rushed in. The old wooden floors creaked beneath his feet. The air smelled of dust and something faintly burned. He shouldn’t have come back. That night, it started. A whisper. At first, he thought it was the wind. But then, he heard it again. "David." The voice was soft, almost familiar. He froze. His parents had died in this house. And now, someone was calling his name. Swallowing hard, he followed the voice. It led him to his old bedroom—the only room untouched by the fire. The door creaked open on its own. Inside, everything was as he remembered. The bed. The toy chest. Even the little handprint he had made on the wall as a child. Then he saw it. A figure standing in the corner. Its body was blackened, burned beyond recognition. But its voice— "David, come home." His mother’s voice. David’s blood ran cold. His mother was dead. The figure took a step forward. David backed away, but the house wouldn’t let him leave. The door slammed shut. The floorboards groaned under invisible weight. The whispering grew louder—dozens of voices calling his name. "Come home, David." The walls darkened. Smoke curled from the ceiling. It was happening again. The fire. Flames erupted around him, just like that night so many years ago. David screamed, clawing at the door. Then— Everything went silent. The fire was gone. The house was empty. And David? He was never seen again. Some say the house still calls his name. Waiting for him to come home.
