The Raven (1963)
Peter Lorre has a problem. An evil wizard, played by Boris Karloff, has turned him into a sleek, blackbird. Oh, he's still Peter Lorre, but, darn it! Vincent Price, of whom he was counting on having the correct magical formula to change him back into a man, just can't seem to get it right. Oh, his daddy seems to have all the correct magical ingredients hidden in his ancient laboratory, but, something goes wrong, and he just doesn't mix up a big enough batch! Thus, poor Lorre, whose life is tough enough for being a put-upon little fat man, is left walking around with two big black wings, occasionally dropping off feathers and lamenting his sorry luck.

indika sampathPublished 2 years ago in Horror7 Of The Top Horror Masterpieces To Start October Right!
October is upon us, and it’s time to enjoy some of those favorite things about the witching season. Sweatshirt season, hot apple cider, the fall colors, and the hours of thrills, chills, and screams that will get your blood pumping on those cold fall nights. It’s the season of the witch, and it’s time to get the crap scared out of you and feel your heart beating through your chest.
Jason Ray MortonPublished 2 years ago in HorrorIt Came from Hollywood (1982)
Like Mr. Utterson in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, I use to love the theater but haven't stepped through the door of one in twenty years. The last movie I saw in an actual theater I think, was Mel Gibson in Signs. And that was probably twenty years ago. Since then, it has become unwise, for various reasons, to congregate too freely in large numbers with our fellow citizens. But there was a time when movie theaters and drive-ins were prime places of entertainment.
Casper the Friendly Ghost
Or, perhaps you might know it better from a still image of the film. Starring Christina Ricci. Also, the first film to feature a CGI character in a lead role.
J.A. HernandezPublished 2 years ago in HorrorGive Incantation A Try
When it comes to Incantation I’m very biased. I loved the story, the background, and the way the film was shot. Therefore, I can only say positive things about this film. Incantation is a lot to experience but hopefully this breakdown and review will convince you to at least give it a try. Incantation is a Taiwanese found footage supernatural horror film. Yes, that is another reason why I’m so biased…Put found footage and supernatural in the same sentence/description and I’m in. This film is written, directed, and produced by Kevin Ko. Who also directed Invitation Only, A Choo, and Doomsday Reverse just to name a few. The cast of incantation includes Tsai Hsuan-yen, Huang Sin-ting, Kao Ying-hsuan, and Sean Lin.

Gargoyles (1972) Forgotten Made for Television "Classic" Long before "Buffy," "I know what you did last summer," or "Walking Dead," "Gargoyles" appeared as a made-for-television movie; it would soon be talked about at workplaces and coffee breaks for weeks after it appeared on CBS.

So, this was an excellent extension of the Predator franchise. It really captured most of the feel of the original movie, Predator (1987). This is a pretty good break from the lackluster AvP movies, and the good but kinda silly movie Predators (2010). I haven't seen The Predator (2018), so I'm not sure how it compares, but needless to say, Prey (2022) was a good return to form.

I Spit on Your Grave is one of the most sickening, artless pieces of cinematic excrement ever shat from the bowels of a low-budget exploitation producer. Totally and completely without any real merit, it plays like a cop show recreation of an actual crime--albeit unlikely events, but, in this crazy world, one supposes anything is possible.
22 Facts for 2022: Halloween Edition
Two years ago, I shared 21 Facts for 2021: IMDB Edition because I have a weird quirk. Every time I watch a movie or television show, I read every fun fact, trivia, casting clue, behind the scenes extra that they have to share. Since it's been a while and fall is coming - here's a part two for all my pumpkin spice, leaves changing, sweater wearing, spooky lovers.
‘Pearl’ Movie Review
Pearl is the story of an ambitious young dreamer (Mia Goth) who lives on a farm in Texas as the end of WWI approaches. She wants nothing more than to leave her overbearing mother (Tandi Wright) and paraplegic father (Matthew Sunderland) and be a dancer on the big screen, and she’ll stop at nothing to get it. Nothing.
