It was an Accident or Was it
I didn’t mean to kill her. It just happened so fast. I was just trying to help but I just made it worse. She was being so bossy and I just wanted her to stop. I started to yell at her but she didn’t care. She said, “She was older and I couldn’t tell her what to do.” Madness went over me, so I pushed her. I didn’t mean to push her hard, I just wanted her to stop and to be quiet for once. But a few minutes later I realized that she wasn’t breathing. I started screaming for help but my parents weren’t home. No one would hear me, we were out in the woods playing. What was I supposed to do? I killed her, I killed my sister.

Interview
I never thought I’d end up here, never in a million years. I had always thought myself to be smart and rather careful. Clearly, I was wrong. A blanket draped around my shoulders, wearing a hoodie and sweatpants that were loaned to me, shoes from the lost and found box, waiting for a detective to finally come take my statement. I’ve pinched myself so many times trying to keep myself awake, and as a reminder that I’m not dreaming.
