Start writing...In every country there a lot of superstition that's believed by the people of that country.
A superstition is a belief or practice that isn’t entirely based on facts or reality, like carrying a rabbit’s foot because you think it brings you good fortune, or believing that Friday the 13th is a day of bad luck.
So now I want to describe the superstition where i live.
1.Meat should not be consumed on certain days
Many foreigners stereotype the Indians as being vegetarians. They’re wrong. A lot of Indians are non-vegetarians. Well, except on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
2.Eclipses are bad omens for pregnant women
Pregnant women in India have a hard time during eclipses. Not only are they supposed to stay indoors during the entire time, they’re not even allowed to sit cross-legged.
3.An itchy left palm means money is coming to you
Been wanting to escape to an exotic holiday location? Have an eye on that swanky new car? All you’ve got to do is close your eyes and wish really really hard that your left palm starts to itch soon!
4.Do not cut nails after sunset
Cutting nails after dark is a strict no-no, unless you want to invite some unwelcome misfortune into your life.
5.Wearing gemstones brings good fortune
In India, we frequently consult astrologers who advise us to wear certain gemstones to improve our fate.
6.If a black cat crosses your path, then your tasks get delayed or postponed.Poor black cats. They are blamed just for being black (no racist joke here). It's a popular belief in the west too that, if a black cat crosses your path, it’s a bad omen.
7.You lose your wealth, if you shake your legs.Shaking legs is not just a sign of nervousness. It also drives away your wealth. It is believed that if you shake your legs, prosperity will flow away from you. That explains, why we are so broke at the end of the month right!
8.Sweeping floors in the evening drives away Laxmi from the home.Even if your room is filthy, your mom will not let you sweep the floor in the evening. That's because Hindus believe that Goddess Laxmi generally visits homes during the evenings (specifically around 6-7 pm), and therefore sweeping will drive her away. This is, of course, assuming that Goddess Laxmi has a problem with basic hygiene.
9.Eye twitching. It is considered that the right eye twitching is good for men, and the left one brings good news for women.
10.Eating curd before stepping out for work.Well, it is believed that eating curd mixed with a little sugar brings good luck if you are going for an important work or task.

At first i think only the Indians are believed in the superstition but now I know we're not only the one who believed in this but the other other countries also so now let's see.

1.Whistling;OK, so not just whistling in general, but specifically whistling indoors and at the sun are both ill-advised actions according to Russian and Norwegian superstitions, respectively. Whistling indoors supposedly leads to financial problems in Russia. In Norway, whistling at the sun supposedly causes rain.
2.Sitting at the Corner of a Table: According to Hungarian and Russian superstitions, and surely others as well, sitting at the corner of the table is bad luck. The unlucky diner will allegedly never get married.
3.Hagia Sophia Thumb Turning: Once a church, a mosque and now a museum, the Hagia Sophia in Turkey is also home to a column that has a thumb-deep hole in it. The story goes that the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I had a nagging headache cured after touching the column.
4.Mirrors: Another widely-known superstition is that breaking a mirror will result in seven years of bad luck. In some folklore, a person's reflection in a mirror was thought to house or be connected to a piece of the person's soul. With that in mind, breaking a mirror, especially if it has your reflection in it at the time, doesn't sound too great
5.Birds Flying Into Your Home; An old wives tale says that a bird flying into your home is a bad sign, especially if said bird circles the room and lands on the back of someone's chair and then leaves. That supposedly means the person whose chair the bird chose would die. A more specific flying death omen can be found in Mexican and Caribbean folklore: the black witch moth.
6The Evil Eye: Has someone ever complimented something you own only for it to later to be broken or ruined? Some superstitious folk might say that was the evil eye at work.
7.Leaving your purse on the floor is bad luck/will make you go broke. This one is apparently common to several different cultures. I’ve found it listed as Polish, Spanish and Chinese.
8.We all know spilling salt is supposed to be bad luck, but in Italy, it’s also considered bad luck to spill olive oil!
9.Walking with only one shoe on could cause a death in the family. This variation of “step on a crack, break your mother’s back” is from Romania.
10.In the Philippines, people believe that one should not wear red during a storm, as the color attracts lightning.
