Skin walkers in Utah PART 1

chapter one the origin of a skin walker

skin walker NOUN: magical practitioners such as shamans or medicine men that evolved from spiritual guides and respected healers, who instead made the decision to use their powers for evil instead of good. These beings have been known to shape shift into any animal at any given time

So here we are in the year 2000 in the state of Utah. Where there are 3 Navajo tribes that live side by side peacefully known as the Navajo nation. The Native Americans being very smart made it a point to steer clear of too much technology. The most technology they have is flip phones and of course some vehicles mostly desert runners for essential travel. Each tribe has their own magical practitioners known as medicine men. There are 1 per tribe.

In the first tribe their medicine man is a pure light worker. Is not by any means dark is pure of mind heart and spirit his name is Ahuli

In the second tribe is Adistan he is a little darker than Ahuli. Adistan is not evil but he is not pure love and light either. He sits right in the middle. He has basic morals and values, but compared to Ahuli he is a little more hard core but still secure in himself and is secure in himself and knows who he is. Most people call this grey magic because it partakes in both light magic and dark magic.

Next we have the third and final medicine man Shizhe'E he is pure evil mind body and spirit. His beliefs definitely do not align with the beliefs of his tribe. For his tribe is mostly good as is the chief. Shizhe'E is very well known throughout the 3 tribes for the terror he causes people just because he can. Everyone in even his tribe is scared of him.

Adistan is the only one in the three villages that does not fear Shizhe'E . Still Adistan goes out of his way to keep from challenging Shizhe'E because he was raised not to be cocky as well as to avoid trouble until it can no longer be avoided.

A previous medicine man is in the midst of passing away he was twice as evil as Shizhe'E he was Shizhe'E ’s father the one who brought up Shizhe'E in his evil ways. The poor kid never had a chance. His fathers name was Klah. The most evil medicine man to have ever lived .

His father Klah is now on his death bed surrounded by family as they say their good byes. While saying his goodbyes Klah tells his son Shizhe'E about an talisman he had made a while back that gives its bearer full control of all the skin walkers. And warns him to use extreme caution when bearing that talisman.

Having never seen one and Believing that the skin walkers were a myth accepts the talisman as a way to remember his father. Not knowing how to use it it was just a very nice piece to remember his father by.

Klah finally passes and the family begins the memorial services for their loved one as day turns into night.

Later on that night while every one was asleep Shizhe'E heard a loud disturbance outside his window. Shizhe'E went to see what the noise was about as it was un-naturaly loud. Upon walking outside Shizhe'E saw his fathers spirit his father waved good bye then began to change shape raipdly. Shouting in pain while shape shifting every time he changed shape.

Not believing what he just saw Shizhe'E ran inside to grab the talisman his father spoke of. Shizhe'E ran back outside to his father still in pain and suffering. He held the talisman to his father and said I control you now I own you you work for me. The talisman captured his fathers spirit, this would be Shizhe'E ’s first victim. His very own father was now his first servant .

Not really believing what he just witnessed Shizhe'E went to bed but could not sleep the entire night. Seeing a real life skin walker the scariest thing hes ever seen in his entire life. This goes against everything he was taught when he as a kid shaking his very foundational beliefs.

And he actually captured one for himself one he has full control over a being supposedly more powerful than he is. Shizhe'E now begins to think about how he can make the skin walker do anything he wants it to without question. Basically enslaving the creature that was once his own father.

The sun begins to rise and Shizhe'E decides to keep this secret to himself. Little does he know he was witnessed doing this by a little Navajo boy named Yanisin.

Yanisin only 12 years old growing up in a broken home and he began to favor the darker side. This stems from a lack of love from most others. He was also very undisciplined however It wasn't his parents fault after the first 3 kids Yanisin’s mother was no longer able to match the will or the strengthof the young man. Although Yanisin was loved by his family he was bullied for a short time which began to harden his heart.

Yanisin was very powerful in magic he was un-aware of this as he was very conflicted at heart. Hindering his power However Yanisin knows he has magical abilities because of his already present psychic abilities.

That night Yanisin decided that he would never discuss what he witnessed lest it get back to Shizhe'E .

The very next day Yanisin wanted answers as to what he saw the night before. So Yanisin went to the library and began to research Native American monsters and he didn't have to search long before google returned the results. What he saw that night was a skin walker. When he learned what exactly a skin walker is and how they come to be he immediately swore that he would never become evil. As not to suffer anything like what he saw that fateful night.

Meanwhile Shizhe'E went on about his day as if nothing ever happened. When seen exhausted his excuse was he could not sleep out of devastation over the loss of his father. Otherwise Shizhe'E behaved as if nothing happened.
