Party Hard - It’s Halloween
The best playlist for your scaredy cat guests
It’s party time guys and gals. You should all have your invitations by now to the absolute best, creepiest, ghoulish party in town, this Halloween.
If you don’t have your invitation, then you probably weren’t invited…….but hey, don’t let that stop you. You just need to ensure that you either have the best Halloween Costume or at least one that hides your identity. It’s worth a go, don’t you think? It’s either that or you’ll miss the best party in town, with the best Halloween Playlist you’re ever likely to hear.
So lookey here, one and all, get your thinking caps on. You need a super creepy costume to attend this gig.
No costume, no entry!
I may not be hosting this mega event but I did put the playlist together and I’m especially proud this year. There is a song on this list for everyone, no matter your age or music tastes.
Come one, come all…..let’s dance this night away.

This Playlist is made up of the following creepy, scary, ghoul-worthy songs that your party guests will love to dance and party the night away to.

- Ghosts - Michael Jackson
1996 - Ghosts is all about an eccentric man living in a small town, but he does have supernatural powers, so the towns’ judgemental mayor is trying to force him out of town. Michael Jackson’s dance moves to this piece is phenomenal.
- Overture - Andrew Lloyd Webber
1986 - Suitably scary, this piece of music is well known from the musical, Phantom of the Opera. This would be the best piece to have playing on repeat as your guests arrive.
- Time Warp - Rocky Horror Picture Show
1973 - Who hasn’t seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show? I’m sure your guests will be excited when this song begins to play. I’m sure they will rush to the dance floor to preform the ‘Time Warp’ dance moves.
- Running’ With The Devil - Van Halen
1978 - A single from Van Halen’s debut album and was once named the 9th greatest hard rock song of all time. Who doesn’t like dancing to Van Halen?
- Freaks Come Out At Night - Whodini
1984 - Whodini was one of the first hip-hop groups that made it into mainstream radio. A great dance piece your guests will love bopping away to.
- Psycho Killer - Talking Heads
1977 - This song by Talking Heads was released on their debut album, although they did perform it live in 1974. All in all, a perfect addition to your Halloween’ playlist. You’ll see, it’s not wrong when the time comes for this song to play.
- Careful With That Axe, Eugene - Pink Floyd
1968 - This is an instrumental piece by rock band Pink Floyd. The music starts as a light, organ-based jam and an accompanying bass guitar playing just one tone, the song then becomes much louder and more intense before gradually settling down again. I feel it’s a good fit for your special night.
- Feed My Frankenstein - Alice Cooper
1991 - No Halloween playlist is complete without at least one Alice Cooper song and what a great addition this particular song is to your party’s playlist.
- Pet Sematary - Ramones
1989 - This song is by the American punk rock band Ramones and was originally written for the Stephen King 1989 film adaptation of the same name. Pet Sematary became one of the Ramones' biggest radio hits and is suitably Halloween-ish enough to be included.
- Black Magic Woman - Santana
1968 - Originally’Black Magic Woman’ was written by a British musician Peter Green and recorded by his band Fleetwood Mac. It wasn’t until 1970 that it became a hit by Santana. Another suitable rendition for your ghoul-worthy playlist.
And there my dear Host, is the most amazing playlist for your iconic Halloween Party.
I promise your guests will have the time of their life at your party and it will be all down to this playlist. Why, I hear you ask?
Why? Do you really need to ask after seeing the playlist? Really?
Well I’ll spell it out for you. This playlist is ‘the bomb’, because it consists of songs that span the generations, are still well known but are not the obvious overplayed songs you would normally expect to see on a Halloween playlist.
Yes I could have included Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ for example, but I actually believe your guests will be pleasantly surprised with MJ’s ‘Ghosts’ instead and they will enjoy a night of music they knew but haven’t heard for some time.
Trust me, I’m a Witch!!!
