When the Beast takes hold.
My state of mind is somewhat compromised; unstable. Never before have I felt this free, my inhibitions are down. There is nothing stopping me from ripping someone’s throat out and feasting on their flesh. There is no self-control. My cage no longer restrains me. Freedom... it’s a strange word; yes, I feel free, but I do not have freedom. My thoughts are not as they once were. Being kind, honest, thoughtful, loving. Emotions and feelings that are. . . Well, human. I am human of course. . . I think.

Germaine Street - Chapter Seven
Gudrun opened her eyes, pale and aquamarine as the walls of the Vatnajökull caves, and yawned. To her left PhinFlam stirred slightly and mumbled something about thorns and furrows in Gaeilge Ársa. Itsuki had joined them around 2 am and had chosen the form of a young man with flowing green locks and silvery skin for the rest of their conscious time.

The Phone Girl
Adam stretched his long legs out in front of him as he slouched on the couch, beads of sweat forming along the hairline at his temples while he listened to the air conditioner struggle to push cool air into his apartment. He wore nothing but a pair of loose athletic shorts, slung low on his hips, his sprawled posture intended to allow as much heat as possible escape from the surface of his bare skin. When his phone’s notification alert dinged, he rolled his head to the side to stare at it for a moment before picking it up and checking his texts.

LUPUS
I have never delighted in liquor mind you, I never had the tongue for it. I don't drink it for the taste, nor the inclination it gives a few men. I've discovered that liquor numbs my desires, dulls my faculties. It keeps on causing me to feel to some degree human. I make an honest effort to control myself, do they realize how diligently I attempt? Would it change anything on the off chance that they did? No. I particularly question it would.
