Innocence Stands

Innocence, untouched, stands against the cold stone pillar in some Eastern church. Coloured sunlight streams through the stained glass windows, but Innocence stands in unstained white gossamer robes.

However, behind the pillar, Evil waits to destroy Innocence, Evil dressed in the red of spilt blood.

Innocence knows not of Evil, but Evil knows Innocence very well. Evil will leave the white robes of Innocence stained with red, as always is bound to happen.

Innocence will never flee. It has no reason to. Evil is unknown to it, until the corruption starts and the robes are ripped and bloodied.

Evil will always succeed.
