Eat You Up

Most of the time he could succumb to this feeling. The scent of iron, garlic, and salt in some humans was so strong it was actually healthier to feed on the animals. However, it was different with hers. She had a scent of cherry kool-aid. The smell made his mouth water with the idea of what his taste buds would feel. His hunger for her only growing when the tip of his tongue caught the taste of her.

She ran...

Barefooted and frantically through the maze of the garden. Sharp thorns on thick vines cutting thin slices across her arms and legs. Leaving what smelled like to her a strong scent of iron and behind that scent, he followed.

Slowly moving along with the shadows of the darkness. His instincts taking over him. The agonizing feeling of hunger causing him to stagger here and there with an empty pain in his stomach. Leaning against one of the plant-based walls of the maze. Plunking a leaf from its twig. Glazing over the blood that rested on it with his tongue. A tickle running down his spine as he giggled.

Her blood smelled like cherry kool-aid but tasted like chocolate-covered strawberries. Never in the time that he had been a vampire had he tasted blood so divine as this. SUCH A TRAGEDY. I SHOULD KEEP HER. DRINK HER LITTLE BY LITTLE AND MAKE HER MY PET. He thought to himself flicking the leaf with the dried-up blood around in his fingers. Breathing in deeply one final time. BUT SHE SMELLS AND TASTES LIKE PARADISE.

His red eyes beaming brightly in the dark. As he let out a loud piercing laugh that echoed through the maze for her to hear. His ear twitching as her heartbeat quickened. A creepy smile revealed in the shadows before cracking his knuckles and jerking his neck. I FOUND YOU.

His speed was that of a cheetah although he never lost stamina. Bobbing and weaving through the tall bushes. Tired of the cat and mouse game. His mouth watered the closer he drew to her scent. Until it came to a point that he was drooling from both sides of his mouth like a divided river. Fangs revealed, tongue drenched. Intoxicated off her scent alone.

Another quick slide with his turn and he was standing before her. The maze always working out in his favor. Looking down at the prize he had won.

Eyes wide with fear, chest heaving, and loose blood dripped from the cuts the thorns had given her. "PLEASE... DON'T DO THIS... I.. I. I HAVE A FAM..." before her cries could be completed he snatched her up swiftly with one hand. Feet dangling as she was held up by the throat. A stranger holding her upright towards the moonlit sky so he could catch her radiance. Bringing her closer into his grasp all while tilting her neck slightly. When she was close enough his free hand caught her right arm and pulled it behind her back towards her left. Immense strength to hold her like a feather.

His fangs slowly grazed along her neck to find the best place for his puncture, and as he sunk his teeth in her his hands loosened. She took the free opportunity to toss her arms at him violently. Hitting, scratching, desperately prying to break from his grasp.

He felt it. The warm morsel taste of her sweet kool-aid flavored blood. The warmth leaving her body to briefly fill his stomach. A curse he never asked for, but one he lives with well. As she scratched, hit, and fought him his eyes fluttered. Rolling in the back of his head as the sense of her fighting under his grasp only aroused him. His clutch on her deepening. Her cries turning to soft moans, which caused him to wrap his arm around her back as he slowly slid to his knees. Her body slowly falling limp at the same time.

Her lifeless hand meeting the rich soil the same moment his knees did. His fangs loosening as he lowered her colorless body to the ground. Wiping his mouth with a handkerchief and laying it softly over her face. Standing silently he adjusted himself after having the finest meal he ever had and walked away into the night.

Her body growing into beautiful flowers and vines for the bushes. The garden always working out in his favor.
