INT. MATTHEW’S OFFICE - NIGHT

PANEL 1: ESTABLISHING SHOT - COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, CHICAGO

The skyline of a Chicago business district. The Loudun building shown prominently in the front. Give the building a unique look, but nothing too out there. Something the audience can recognize everytime they see it.

MATTHEW

(voice over)

I don't know about this Mr. Spota ...

PANEL 2: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND MATTHEW - PAN (PART 1)

MATTHEW, a fat, balding accountant, clean shaven in his mid forties, looks out the window, contemplating the offer from NATHAN, a thin, fit man with a wolfish look to him, though he is not seen except as a silhouette, who sits behind MATTHEW across the desk.

The following series of panels will act as a visual pan across the room, each showing a different stage of the room as we move from the left side of the office, where MATTHEW now stands looking out the window, to the right side where NATHAN sits behind the desk, silhouetted against the frame.

We do not yet see NATHAN in this panel, just the beginnings of the desk entering to the right of the panel.

MATTHEW

It's all just too risky. If this goes down like the experts all say it will, I could lose my job!

NATHAN

Matthew, calm down. If you keep being such a damn pessimist, you'll never get what you want.

PANEL 3: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND MATTHEW (PART 2)

MATTHEW has turned from the window and stepped towards NATHAN

We begin to see NATHAN's feet propped up to the desk and legs leading off to the right of the frame. MATTHEW will be the movement between each of these panels, getting closer to NATHAN in each frame, and so revealing NATHAN more in each frame. MATTHEW is in very obvious distressed at his decision.

NATHAN

It'll Work, Matthew! You Just have to trust me. Or you can sit here as a low level pencil pusher for the rest of your life.

PANEL 4: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND MATTHEW (PART 3)

MATTHEW steps forward again, revealing NATHAN's legs that leead to the beginning of a silhouette in a chair. MATTHEW's shoulders are now slumped from the exhaustion of his worry as NATHAN's words appear to have a soothing effect on him

MATTHEW

I can't help It! God, I can't lose this job.

NATHAN

Matthew, you have to trust me-

PANEL 5: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND MATTHEW (PART 4)

MATTHEW moves again, more animated as he now stand directly in front of NATHAN's silhouetted form, who is reclined back in the chair, feet on the desk.

MATTHEW has begun to turn his anxiety towards anger and suspicion as he verbally goes after NATHAN

MATTHEW

How can I trust you?! Why should I? Some Marius Exec, comes in here saying how I could be a star and put solve a merger I didn;t even know my company was doing two weeks ago? I work in accounting! How am I going to get the big shots in mergers to even listen to me? C.J. would gut me and use my intestine as a belt.

PANEL 6: EXTREME CLOSE UP OF RIGHT SIDE OF NATHAN’S FACE (NATHAN’S RIGHT)

We begin in the next few panels to highlight certain areas of NATHAN's face as he begins to impose his will on MATTHEW. His eye is a light magenta color. This will be a subtle hint at when he is performing Lesser Magic

NATHAN

You let me worry about that. I’ll get Marius to listen to our ideas, and you'll seem like the “rising star" of Loudun who can do no wrong.

PANEL 7: EXTREME CLOSE UP OF NATHAN’S EYES

Both predatory eyes, both still with that magenta hue of Lesser Magic

NATHAN

I’ll get you so embedded inside the CEO’s head, C.J. will have no choice but to promote you to Acquisitions.

PANEL 8:CLOSE UP ON MATTHEW

MATTHEW appears to be consumed by stress and fear as NATHAN's words seem to surround and envelop him

MATTHEW

But why me? Why do I get this special attention?

NATHAN

Why not you, Matthew? Ever hear the phrase, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth? ’ Here’s the horse that’s going to have you ride off into the sunset.

PANEL 9: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN AND MATTHEW’S HANDS

MATTHEW reluctantly takes NATHANS hand and shakes it.

NATHAN

Just shake my hand, and all your dreams will come true.

MATTHEW

You had just better deliver, cause if my ass goes down, you're the first motherfucker I'm GUNNING for.

EXT. CROWLEY’S CORNER - NIGHT.

Crowley's corner is a popular counter culture night club that has a sign with generic magic symbols replacing several letters in the club's name for effect and aesthetic.

PANEL 1: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN DRIVING

NATHAN drives a black convertible to the club. the shot is outside the car, looking into it through the passenger side (right side) of the car. NATHAN seems very serious through the slight tint of his car window.

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN BEHIND THE WHEEL.

NATHAN is viewed dead center in frame as he drives to the club

A look of serious determination on NATHAN's face. He is psyching himself for the ritual about to be done and channeling his focus.

NARRATION

And when we put enough emotion... enough FEELING into something...

We can achieve the impossible.

PANEL 3: WIDE SHOT OF NATHAN’S CAR ARRIVING AT THE CLUB

NATHAN's car is shown from the exterior and to the right again. Angle is level with the car.

NATHAN pulls up to the front of the club where a line of people are waiting to get in.

There's nothing SUPERNATURAL about it

PANEL 4: MED. SHOT OF NATHAN GETTING OUT OF THE CAR

we are now seeing NATHAN from the front slightly elevated looking down at him

NATHAN gets out of the car and heads into the club with a small satchel over his shoulder.

When we were children, we were all MAGICIANS!

PANEL 5: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND ALPHONSE

ALPHONSE takes up the majority of the space in the panel. He is a larcge mucular black man in a black t-shirt that says security on it and black jeans. He is shown from mid thigh up (cowboy shot) as NATHAN is stepping into frame

NATHAN walks up to the door and ALPHONSE stops him.

ALPHONSE

Hey Bud, you got to wait in line just like everybody-

PANEL 6: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN

We are looking down at NATHAN as though from ALPHONSE' height as NATHAN looks up at the large bouncer.

NATHAN gives an amused look.

NARRATION

But there are those whom society failed to cut

PANEL 7: CLOSE ON ALPHONSE

ALPHONSE face is shown from a very slight downward angle looking up at him as his face fills with surprise at seeing NATHAN

ALPHONSE

Mr. Spota!

PANEL 8: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND ALPHONSE

NATHAN walks past ALPHONSE, hand rasised as he waves away ALPHONSE' apology. ALPHONSE is turned towards NATHAN as he tries to give the apology and explanation that NATHAN is dismissing

ALPHONSE

I'm sorry sir. We’ve been getting some crazies showing up. Can’t be too careful.

NATHAN

Not a problem Alphonse. Keep up the good work.

ALPHONSE

Yessir!

NATHAN heads into the club

You can get a grasp of ALPHONSE and NATHAN's relationship as friends with a general feeling of respect for each other.

INT. CROWLEY’S CORNER

PANEL 1: WIDE SHOT OF NATHAN COMING DOWN THE STAIRS INTO THE CLUB

We see NATHAN coming down the stairs from the bottom. Each of these three panels show the progression of NATHAN moving down the stairs until he reaches the bottom.

The stairway is dark and the only light is the lights from the club below that are seeping into the hallway, giving it shades of muted blue, red, green, purple and other colors usually displayed

NARRATION

Some who break away from convention and regain that power that we are all gifted at birth

PANE 2: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN HEADING DOWN THE STAIRS

In this panel NATHAN is halfway down the hallway, though the angle has not moved or shifted.

NATHAN is now at the foot of the stairs in the immediate foreground as he surveys the club

NATHAN walks in and is surrounded by rock music and a crowd decked out in all manner counter culture.

NATHAN is shown in the immediate foreground with the rest of the panel seen around NATHAN's right side, only his torso and waist are visible

NATHAN makes his way towards the back where JACK HALLOWELL, a ginger heaired man NATHAN's age with round rimmed sunglasses, a blazer and t-shirt, black slacks and tennis shoes, is sitting on a curved couch with a GIRL on either side of him

JACK is shown waist up, with his arms around the two girls.

He is very animated and a large grin is plastered on his face.

JACK

Heya Nate. How’s it been?

NATHAN

Jack, I need the keys to the chamber.

JACK

Oh yeah? Summoning something dark and spooky there in the basement?

NATHAN is shown from the shoulders up looking off panel towards JACK

NATHAN gives JACK a smirk.

I guess you'll have to wait and find out.

JACK's whole body is shown on the couch, however the GIRLS are left off panel as JACK leans in with a demonic smile on his face

Same angle as NATHAN's previous close up as he snathces the keys out of the air, his smirk still fantly across his face

NATHAN nods and heads off to the basement.

PANEL 1: MEDIUM SHOT FROM THE SIDE OF NATHAN

The panel is a full body shot of NATHAN shown from the side as he moves through the cluttered basement to the right of frame. NATHAN is centered in the shot as gingerly moves through the assorted storage

The panel is focused on NATHAN's face as he looks off frame to the right. He seems to have found what he is looking for and smirks with satisfaction.

The bookcase takes up the center panel, framed by clutter and storage. There appears to be a faint light almost spotlighting it

NATHAN is shot from the right side as he feels around that side of the bookcase, looking for a hidden latch. His movements are all visible to the audience.

PANEL 5: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN’S HAND

NATHAN's hand dominates the panel as it grasps a slight depression in the side of the bookcase

PANEL 6: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN FROM BEHIND

NATHAN has his back to the audience in a cowboy shot (mid-thigh up) as he stands in front of the passage that had been concealed by the now open door. Beyond him we can see the very faint outlines of his ritual chamber in the dark where his body isn't blocking our view. The bookshelf has been pulled away to the left and NATHAN's hand is on it, ready to close it behind him.

How often has the dark tunnel led to enlightenment and power?

Almost seems cliche at this point

PANEL 7: MEDIUM SHOT OF THE BOOKCASE

Similar in shot to 5.3, the bookcase is now closed, resuming it's original place center of the panel, framed once more by the seemingly benign clutter and storage

INT. NATHAN’ S RITUAL CHAMBER - NIGHT

NATHAN is now clothed in a red robe. He is facing forward (towards the audience) where the outline of an altar with two large bronze candlesticks can be seen in the immediate foreground to the right of the frame. NATHAN is walking towards it with singular purpose and thought

The Ritual Decompression Chamber

Designed to remove the Warlock from the imposed reality of the "real world"

And release the mind into the world of fantasy and imagination

PANEL 2: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN

The angle and arrangement of the shot has not changed from the previous panel, except that now NATHAN is standing directly behind the altar, the black candle to his left (our right) has been lit and NATHAN is now in the process of lighting the white candle to his right (our left)

In between the two candles is a glass goblet with an inverted pentagram engraved in it with a thick red wine Across the altar lays a ceremonial sword gilded in gold.

There are no windows and the only light comes from the candles. There are Sigils of demons from the Goetia as well as other grimoires sprawled along the walls, including a large Sigil of Marduk on the East wall behind NATHAN.

NATHAN

Great Denizens of the pit, I invoke thee to ignite the fire of the Dragon that dwells within me.

NATHAN

Within this ritual chamber, I call upon the demonic powers of Dionysus, Loki, Belial, and Set!

INT. LOUDUN BOARDROOM - NIGHT

PANEL 1: WIDE SHOT OF BOARDROOM

Shot at a dutch tilt from a low upward angle facing towards the right, the dutch tilt leaning towards the right

The MARIUS TEAM, consisting of two VP's and the CEO, have entered from the right of the panel, VP MARIUS #1, a middle aged,50-60 dark haired german man, taking the lead. In the middle is the CEO, an older, 60-70's, german with grey hair, and in the back,VP #2, a younger,35-45, blonde german man.

They are met by C.J. And the LOUDUN TEAM consisting of another VP and their CEO. The rest of the TEAM flanks C.J., with the CEO on his left, and the VP to his right.

We’re so happy to have you here. We were quite surprised to get your call.

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP ON C.J.

Reversing the dutch tilt from the previous shot, tilting now to the left, but keeping the low angled upward shot, C.J., a stout man in his fifties with hard features is shown from the mid torso up as he continues to greet the opposite TEAM. He is smiling and attempting the charm of a salesman.

We didn't expect you to come back to the table so soon

PANEL 3 MEDIUM SHOT OF MARIUS TEAM

Framed from the waist up in the center of the panel, the MARIUS TEAM have formed close ranks, each with look of distrust in their face. They stand in the same formation as before except closer together and slightly overlapping, like playing cards laid over each other in solitaire.

VP MARIUS #1

Well, this was rather last minute for us as well.

VP MARIUS #2

We were persuaded by one of our consultants to give this a closer look.

PANEL 4: WIDE SHOT OF BOARDROOM.

Both TEAMS are seated at the table, MARIUS on the right LOUDUN on the left. C.J. and VP#1 are facing each other in the middle, the CEOs on the far end, and the other VP's taking the foreground. The panel is framed so that the six members form a kind of triangle, with C.J. and the MARIUS VP#1 as the base, and the other two VP's as the tip.

C.J.

Must be one hell of a consultant!

INT. NATHAN’ S RITUAL CHAMBER - CONTINUOUS

PANEL 1: WIDE SHOT OF NATHAN

Framed at an upward angle towards the ceiling, NATHAN stands and raises a hand to a flaming inverted pentagram that has formed above him.

NATHAN

Above me burns the dark pentagram of the Empyrean realms, drawn here to liberate me from ignorance.

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN'S HAND

NATHAN's hand right hand is shown from the elbow up, taking up about two thirds of the panel, and from the pentagram, whose lines are barely seen at the top of the panel, a golden dove floats down to his outstretched hand.

NATHAN

Carbaf Ivnim!

PANEL 3: POV OF THE VEGVISIR RUNE

Framed at a downward angle as though from NATHAN's perspective, a a deep purple vegvisir rune is shown around NATHAN.

NATHAN

Below me I invoke the Vegvisir, to guide me through the Underworld on my my quest for knowledge.

PANEL 4: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN'S LEG

From the vegvisir's center, whose lines are barely seen at the bottom of the frame, a black snake seemingly made of shadow rises up and wraps around NATHAN's left leg, baring its fangs at his mid calf.

NATHAN

Torezodu Uime!

NATHAN

Marduk! God of the fifty names and lord of Babylon, I invoke thy power! Take my voices wrapped in thunderous might to those whom I would dominate under my might!

INT. LOUDUN BOARDROOM - NIGHT

While the frame focuses on C.J., it's far back enough for the frame to have the shoulder and forearm of each of C.J.'s colleagues as well.

C.J.

Now, I know you’ve been reluctant to join the Loudun Holding group, but...

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

I summon forth thy powerful benevolence on behalf of he who is stricken with misfortune.

C.J.

...I believe that bringing us together is going to strengthen us both in the long run here.

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP ON MARIUS VP #2

MARIUS VP #2 is looking at C.J. with a look of indifference, bordering on irritation.

MARIUS VP #2

As we’ve said, Our consultant told us we should give you some further consideration and look over your proposals

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

I use your divine power to strike asunder that which bears against him.

PANEL 3: MEDIUM TWO SHOT OF C.J AND VP LOUDUN

VP LOUDUN, sitting to C.J.'s left (right of panel) pulls out some papers and begins laying them out. The shot should look almost identical to PANEL 1, except expanded to include VP LOUDUN

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

By the elemental powers that surround us, succor him in and strengthen his resolve.

C.J.

Well, we have some here that we think will be of great interest to you and your board.

PANEL 4: CLOSE UP ON MARIUS VP #1

The MARIUS VP #1 is looking over one of the proposals. His head take up the entire panel, turned sharply towards the right of the panel.

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

Our friend and companion, may his will be brought to fruition by the grace and power of Satan, our true master and ruler of the Earth.

PANEL 5: CLOSE UP ON MARIUS VP#2

The MARIUS VP #2 is looking over one of the proposals. His head take up the entire panel, turned slightly towards the left of the panel.

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

Let pleasure flow unhampered, that he may savor the fruits of his herculean labors.

PANEL 6: CLOSE ON MARIUS CEO

MARIUS CEO is looking over one of the proposals. His head take up the entire panel, facing center.

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

May his enemies be smited and driven forth like mad dogs and lost to the prevailing winds of his victory.

PANEL 7: MEDIUM THREE SHOT OF MARIUS TEAM

The MARIUS TEAM is looking over the documents and seeming to be unhappy with the results.

VP MARIUS #1

Is this really the best your company can offer?

VP MARIUS #2

If so, then I think we're done here. You apparently have nothing of value here.

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

Protect him from misfortune and shelter him from Malice, in the name of Satan, whose mercies flourish and whose sustenance will prevail.

C.J.

(off panel)

Hold on there guys.

NATHAN

(off panel V.O.)

As Satan reigns so shall his own whose name is as this:

PANEL 1: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN's head fills the frame. His eyes are ablaze with a fire the same magenta color as when he works his hypnotism, but more intense.

NATHAN

Matthew Gunderson is the vessel whose flesh is as the earth; life everlasting, world without end.

NATHAN

By my power and the power of that which I have summoned, Matthew Gunderson shall have his success!

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN

A little farther back this time, and with NATHAN at a more direct angle to the panel. His eyes are still ablaze and he looks as if he is struggling to maintain control.

NATHAN

He shall rise up that corporate ladder, with me by his side. We shall soar to the grand heights of glory and power!

PANEL 3: BACKDROP - WIDE SHOT OF NATHAN

NATHAN stands before the altar and stares up into the sigil of Baphomet above him, arms outstretched as he releases the helix energy through the Sigil of intent hovering before him. The sigil turns the energy into a dark red stream of energy that shoots into the Baphomet.

NATHAN

I evoke the the great powers of the universe to move any mountain, jump any hurdle, and decimate all impediments that lie between me and my desire!

PANEL 4: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN

Shot in an upward angle from just in front of the altar NATHAN picks up MATTHEW's written request and holds the request over the black candle to his left as it begins to catch fire.

NATHAN

So it is done. Shemhamforash! Hail Satan!

C.J. is shown from the waist up with a panicked expression on his face as he begins to rise from his seat and tries to stop the MARIUS TEAM

C.J.

These are opening proposals. There’s plenty of room for negotiation.

PANEL 2: MEDIUM THREE SHOT OF MARIUS TEAM

The MARIUS VP's are turned towards the door as the MARIUS CEO continues to look at his phone.

VP MARIUS #2

Sorry C.J. this just isn’t what we’re looking for -

CEO MARIUS

This proposal, I think we might have something.

PANEL 3: CLOSE ON CEO MARIUS

CEO MARIUS shows his phone to his VP #1 while he talks to C.J., who is off panel.

CEO MARIUS

I just received an email from one of your associates with a new proposal, a Mr. Matthew Gunderson.

CEO LOUDUN

(off panel)

Gunderson?

PANEL 4 MEDIUM THREE SHOT OF LOUDUN TEAM

The LOUDUN TEAM is now standing, looking at each other in bemusement. The CEO LOUDUN is leaning around and behind C.J., who is staring at the MARIUS TEAM with a quizzical look, to the VP LOUDUN

CEO LOUDUN

(to VP)

Who is Matthew Gunderson?

VP LOUDUN

He works in accounting. I don’t know how he had anything to do with -

VP MARIUS #1

(off panel)

This is really good.

PANEL 5: MEDIUM THREE SHOT OF MARIUS TEAM

VP MARIUS #1 is looking up from the CEO's phone, and at the MARIUS TEAM. The CEO MARIUS is looking at the LOUDUN TEAM with a warm smile. VP MARIUS #2 is geting out some papers from his satchel

PANEL 1: ESTABLISHING SHOT - APARTMENT BUILDING IN CHICAGO SUBURB

PANEL 2: CLOSE ON NATHAN

Nathan sits on his couch watching television. Over his shoulder we see the kitchen behind him. These four panels will be the same stationary angle, while the actions inside this frame will move to build to PANEL 6.

REPORTER

In an unprecedented and unexpected move, the highly successful Marius Enterprises has completed a merger with the corporate conglomerate Loudoun Holdings.

PANEL 3: CLOSE ON NATHAN

As the REPORTER speaks, Over Nathan’s shoulder, we see Victoria come in and begin to walk towards the Kitchen the right of the panel, carrying groceries.

REPORTER

Analysts are shocked and bewildered not only at the suddenness of the merger, but at the details of the agreement itself.

PANEL 4: CLOSE ON NATHAN

As VICTORIA is framed in the archway of the kitchen behind NATHAN, she sets the bag on the counter and begins to walk up behind him. NATHAN, knowing she's there, has a smile as his eyes are looking to his side while trying to pretend he is still watching the news.

REPORTER

Marius Industries appears to have sacrificed all but it's name to the conglomerate.

REPORTER

As of next month, Marius Industries will officially become a registered subsidiary of Loudun Holdings, the French based company.

PANEL 5: CLOSE ON NATHAN

VICTORIA is now half way towards where NATHAN is sitting, the groceries still visible in the arch of the kitchen.

REPORTER

No one has been able to understand the motives and interplay behind one of the most successful companies surrendering itself to a conglomerate that dropped five points in the DOW over the past several months .

PANEL 6: TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND VICTORIA

VICTORIA now has her arms wrapped around NATHAN from behind as they share a passionate kiss.

REPORTER

All that can be gathered is that the merger's success was due in no small part to a Matthew Gunderson, an Associate within the conglomerate that is now being hailed as a rising star.

REPORTER

Since the merger, Loudun's stock has risen ten points seemingly overnight. Back to you Arin.

We are at a 180 from the previous page, with VICTORIA walking back towards the kitchen and NATHAN seen over her shoulder looking after her.

VICTORIA

So, I take it the ritual was a success?

NATHAN

Immensely. Went off without a hitch. Wish you could have been there.

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP ON VICTORIA

VICTORIA is now shown from behind, simulating NATHAN's view of her, as she walks to the kitchen.

VICTORIA

(Over her shoulder)

I don't know the guy. I'm sure I just would have distracted you, hun.

Simply a close up of the previous panel to showcase NATHAN's attentions.

NATHAN

VICTORIA is in the foreground unpacking the groceries. From the kitchen, framed in the archway over VICTORIA's shoulder, we see NATHAN begin to get out of his chair towards her

In other news, still no suspect in the mad occult killings that have been plaguing the city

PANEL 5: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN

NATHAN is now in the doorway looking at her and moving towards her as she continues to go through the groceries, pretending not to notice him creeping up behind her

NATHAN

So, what did you get from the store?

VICTORIA

I thought we'd celebrate, so I got a nice bottle of wine, some steaks, and two lobster tails .

PANEL 6: CLOSE ON VICTORIA'S ASS

NATHAN reaches down and grabs her ass

NATHAN now has his arms wrapped around her as her face has an expression of pleasant surprise

Shown from above, we see NATHAN and VICTORIA finish up their meal and wiping themselves up with their napkins.

VICTORIA

So, when do you start at the company?

NATHAN

Monday. Corner office and everything. You know, if all of this works out how I plan, we could get a house after the wedding.

VICTORIA

Oh, and give up your rocking pad?

NATHAN

Bitch, you know you love it.

PANEL 2: CLOSE ON VICTORIA

VICTORIA flashes him a "come -hither stare" as she gets up from the table

VICTORIA

Hmm, it has its perks.

PANEL 3: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN tosses the napkin on the plate and moves to follow her.

NATHAN

You don't say...

PANEL 4: MEDIUM TWO SHOT OF VICTORIA AND NATHAN

They kiss and embrace in the hall, holding the kiss as they move to the bedroom.

The door promptly closes.

Same angle and frame as PANEL 1. The Elevator opens up and NATHAN steps out and gathers his surroundings.

PANEL 4: WIDE SHOT OF THE OFFICE BUILDING

Over NATHAN's shoulder, who stands in the immediate foreground to the left of the panel, we see into an office floor with four corner offices and a mass of cubicles in the center.

PANEL 5: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN

NATHAN is shot from the shoulders up looking towards the right of the panel and begins to move towards his office (off panel).

PANEL 6: CLOSE UP ON NATHAN

Framed from behind we see a hand grasp NATHAN's shoulder and begin to turn him around. NATHAN flashes a puzzled look at the hand, as if he were debating the best course of action for it's removal.

MATTHEW

Nathan, I need your help!

PANEL 7: CLOSE ON: MATTHEW

MATTHEW is framed from the shoulders up and looks distressed and searching NATHAN for any sign of help.

MATTHEW

My first day and I already have C.J. ready to fire me!

NATHAN

What did you do?

Nathan takes up the entire frame from the chest up. MATTHEW's hand is still on his shoulder, much to his discomfort. He puts on a comforting face to try and pull the information of the possible hitch in their plan from MATTHEW

MATTHEW

He called me in and berated me for having the audacity to email another companies CEO.

NATHAN

Relax, once I better explain-

PANEL 2: MEDIUM TWO SHOT: NATHAN AND MATTHEW

Framed at an upward facing angle, MATTHEW on the left, back and right profile to audience, NATHAN to the right, facing audience at slight angle aimed to audience left

MATTHEW

Explain!? What the hell are we going to do? How am I supposed to work here and be the success YOU promised, when the boss hates my guts?

NATHAN

RELAX Matthew, I’ll go talk to him and get this all straightened out.

MATTHEW

NATHAN is walking away towards C.J.'s office, we see him from the mid-thigh up, and has turned back towards MATTHEW, who has called his attention and remains off panel.

MATTHEW

See if you can turn that asshole into a frog or something.

PANEL 5: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN is now shown from the mid chest up and gives a strained smile with a finger gun gesture to MATTHEW before heading to C.J.’s office.

NATHAN

Sure thing

PANEL 6: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN has turned away with an irritated expression on his face, while over his shoulder we can see the vague figure of MATTHEW giving him a thumbs up from several feet away.

NATHAN

Fucking Maggot.

INT. C.J.'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

C.J. Is sitting at his desk pouring over some paperwork while a ohone is pressed to his ear.

C.J

(ON THE PHONE)

No no no, sell the shares and liquidate the damn thing if that’s how they’re gonna be. I’m done playing with these high rise bastards.

PANEL 2: CLOSE ON C.J.

C.J. is now framed from the chest up, phone still pressed between his ear and shoulder, when he hears a knock at the door and looks to the right of the panel.

C.J

Hold on. Fuck's there?

PANEL 3: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN is seen poking his head in around the door as he slowly enters the office.

NATHAN

May I come in?

PANEL 4 CLOSE ON C.J.

C.J. is framed much the same way as in PANEL 2, the phone now taken away from him, but still in his hands.

C.J.

(CONFUSED)

Who are you?

PANEL 5: MEDIUM SHOT OF NATHAN AND C.J.

We see NATHAN enter over C.J.'s right shoulder as he sits in the immediate foreground with his back to us. NATHAN stands in front of the desk.

NATHAN

My name is Nathan Spota, and you will want to speak with me.

C.J.

Oh yeah, and why is that?

PANEL 6: CLOSE UP ON C.J.

C,j, is once again framed similarly to PANEL 2 and PANEL 3. He is looking up at NATHAN who is off panel with shock and anger at NATHAN's audacity, still holding his phone.

C.J.

Fuck it, I’m calling security to throw you out of my-

PANEL 7: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN is framed from the chest up looming over C.J. (offpanel) with a shade of Magenta in his eyes.

NATHAN

(interrupting)

I'm the consultant from Marius Enterprises. The one responsible for your recent ten point stock surge?

PANEL 8: MEDIUM TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND C.J.

C.J. is on the left behind his desk looking up at the intimidating figure of NATHAN who is standing over him with a smile and magenta eyes.

NATHAN

I also happen to be the one who orchestrated your little meeting last week.

C.J

(Shocked)

You're the consultant?

PANEL 1: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN takes up the entire frame as he nods to C.J.

NATHAN

I'm THE consultant.

PANEL 2: MEDIUM SHOT OF C.J

C.J. Is seen behind his desk as he hangs up the phone, still looking at NATHAN, almost transfixed.

C.J

Well, fuck me. Had I known it was you walking in here, I’d have rolled out the fucking red carpet. Shit, I could give your ass a kiss! Here, sit down, talk to me. Do you have any idea how much you just earned this company?

PANEL 3: CLOSE ON C.J.

A slight zoom in from the previous panel so that C.J. Takes up more of the frame. He now has a look of disappointment and apprehension.

C.J.

Well, you and that idiot Gunderson. How he was able to finagle his way into this, I’ll never know. Boy couldn’t work his way out of a paper bag.

PANEL 4 MEDIUM TWO SHOT OF NATHAN AND C.J.

C.J. Is in the immediate foreground mostly off panel to the left, while NATHAN is seen over his visible shoulder seated in front of him with his hands linked together.

NATHAN

I actually had a bit more of a hand in this merger than just arranging the meeting. You see, I wrote the proposal and managed to get Marius to look at it at just the right moment.

C.J.

Oh yeah? And how’d you manage that?

NATHAN

Just a little bit of black magic.

PANEL 5 CLOSE ON C.J.

C.J.'s mid stomach up dominates the panel as he rubs his chin thoughtfully trying to understand NATHAN's words. Almost as if he's struggling through a drugged state.

C.J.

Black magic huh? Hell, we could use some of that working for us that’s for damn sure. This merger’s the first big thing to happen in years.

NATHAN

(off panel)

C.J., what do you know of Corporate Magic .

C.J.

Corporate magic? What’s that, some kind of seminar or something?

PANEL 6: CLOSE ON NATHAN

NATHAN dominates the panel as he bores into C.J. (off panel) with his magenta eyes. His hands are still linked as he speaks.

NATHAN

Not quite. Would it interest you to know that almost every successful company in Europe is employing some kind of Magician? Been doing it for decades, if not centuries. There's been whole magical orders and secret societies, all built upon helping just the right people succeed . And it’s spreading here, to the great U.S. of A.

PANEL 7: CLOSE ON C.J.

C.J. is framed similarly to PANEL 5 and has a dazed look as he processes what NATHAN is saying to him.

C.J.

Hell, makes sense. I’ve known something screwy was going on here for a while. Been trying to get to the bottom of it for years, and that’s the first thing that begins to fit. It’s still crazy mind you, but it’s the best I’ve got.

NATHAN remains seated, focusing his energy on C.J. He is shown full bodied in this PANEL

NATHAN

Ever wonder how the land of the free market and home of the small business turned itself into an unofficial oligarchy? It's getting to be that if you want to make it in this world, you best have a witch up your sleeve.

PANEL 2: CLOSE UP OF NATHAN

Same frame as in PANEL 1, however we're closer now, as NATHAN can only be seen from the waist up

NATHAN

This is where I come in. I have used my considerable skill in the occult, combined with several degrees ranging in business, management, and economics, to sociology, philosophy, and psychology, to the benefit of several companies, most recently being Marius.

PANEL 3: CLOSE ON NATHAN

Like with PANEL 1 and PANEL 2, NATHAN is shown seated and looking at C.J., but we are now very close to him, his eyes their magenta shade as he is shown from the collar up.

NATHAN

But each place seemed stifling. Then, I heard of Loudun. This company has the potential to run this entire city. All you need, is me.

PANEL 4: WIDE SHOT OF NATHAN AND C.J.

The shot is from above looking down on NATHAN and C.J. As they continue their discussion.

C.J.

And you’re just gonna do this, what? Out of the goodness of your heart?

NATHAN

Hardly. I’m going to be your man behind the curtain. I will be directing you to vulnerable companies ready to be merged into Loudun’s vaults, and then delivering them to you on a silver platter.

PANEL 5 CLOSE UP ON NATHAN

NATHAN is on the right side of the panel while the remaining panel space shows the rest of the office and the door behind him.

NATHAN

In return, I run those accounts I bring you. I want consolidation here in Chicago, and I'm choosing Loudun to bring it to me.

PANEL 6: CLOSE ON C.J.

C.J. Begins to come slightly out of his daze. He is leaned forward over his desk looking at NATHAN

C.J.

I like you Mr. Spota. I tell you what, you make sure that this company stays on top, no more drops in the DOW and no more losses, and I’ll make sure you get your “consolidation." What do you think?

PANEL 7: CLOSE ON HANDSHAKE

The two men clasp each others hand as they finalize their deal. This should be mirrored to PAGE 1 PANEL 9, when NATHAN and MATTHEW shook hands.

NATHAN

(off panel)

Couldn’t have put it better myself. Do we have a deal?

C.J.

(off panel)

You have a permanent fucking position!
