Bridges are an ominous, especially at night. Your walking home at night and you cross a heavily fogged bridge and then you hear it. It starts out soft at first, but soon it builds and you can clearly hear a baby’s cry.

There are so many different stories that surround bridges, some more terrifying than the last. A staple in the horror genre is the sound of a baby crying and there is a bridge that has this element. You just have to decide whether or not it's real and if you have the nerve to try and experience it yourself.

In the 1800s, located somewhere in the backwoods of Georgia, a poor farmer and his wife were expecting their 5th child. The thought of a new child coming put a lot of stress on the wife and her husband. The farmer knew that he and his wife could not provide for this child due to their crops being bad that year and he already could barely feed his existing family of six.

Unknown to the wife, the farmer and the doctor had already made arrangements to get rid of the baby. Given their situation, the Husband knew that he and his wife could not provide for the child let alone the rest of the household. When the wife went into labor the farmer called for the doctor who he had made a deal with. Their plan was to take the baby out of the room immediately after the delivery and tell the wife that the baby died during birth.

After the birth of the child, the husband quietly left the room, careful to not let the wife hear the sound of the baby. As the husband left the room the doctor informed the wife that the baby was stillborn. Once the household was asleep the husband left the farmhouse that night and gave the baby to the doctor who took the baby to a nearby bridge and dropped him over the side. The wife never found out about what the farmer and the doctor had done.

Following his actions, the husband proceeded to kill off the entire family with a narcotic poison provided by the doctor. In his guilt state with him getting rid of the newborn, he thought it would also be best to kill off the rest of the family rather than letting them live a poverty-stricken life. Before taking his own life, the husband thought it would be appropriate to have the doctor over for a visit so there would be no more loose ends. With one shot from the husband's shotgun, the doctor laid dead on the living room floor. As the rest of the family members lay still in their beds, the former husband watched as the sun rose into the sky. Right before he took his own life with the same shotgun, a single tear streamed down his cheek as he hears a faint baby’s cry in the distance.

It is said that if you go to the bridge on a cloudless night during a full moon, you must drive your car and park it in the center of the bridge at the highest point. Once done get out of your car and sprinkle baby powder in a thick but shallow enough circle around your car. Then get back in your car and turn the engine and the lights off for 10 minutes. After a while, you will hear the soft sound that of a baby crying. Wait for the crying to die down to emerge out of your car, when you get out of your car there will be baby footprints in the circle of powder.
