A Haunted Office Where a Dead Girl Worked for Six Months

This story begins at Gurgaon — a well-known city in India. There was a BPO office in Gurgaon named Saffron Global Corporation. It was said that the land on which the office was constructed was a graveyard earlier.

Hundreds of Employees worked in that office for many years. And, almost all of them noticed something unnatural there. Some said that they always felt somebody standing at their back in lifts. Some said that they often heard strange voices during midnights. This all was common for them. It had become a part of their office life and they started to ignore all that paranormal incidents. But, nearby peoples started to keep distance with this office and regarded it a haunted place.

There was a female employee whose name was Rose. She was a young girl and working there as a company representative. Usually, she worked in day shift. But sometimes, she had to perform his job on the night shift. Rose was a very talented, helpful, and lovely girl. She had become very popular in the office in just a few weeks. She had also made several fellow employees her friend. Everyone loved her in the office.

One day, Rose had to work on night shift. It was around 12:30 am when she received an inbound call. At this time, nobody expected to receive calls. Usually, such types of calls last for only five to six minutes.

She answered the call and said, ‘Hello, Rose Speaking from Saffron Global’.

The caller asked her only a few general questions which she answered perfectly. Everything was fine. It was a night shift so there was not a heavy workload. Other employees were scrolling their mobile phones to get rid of their sleep. Some were gossiping.

It was expected that Rose would be free from the call in 10 to 15 minutes and then join the talk with other employees. But, it did not happen like that. Rose had been on the call for around half an hour. After, half an hour passed on the call, Rose started to behave abnormally. She stopped smiling and started to give strange impressions. She was talking like she is dead or had not eaten anything for a day. She was a healthy and a little fatty girl. Suddenly she started to look like a skinny girl. She also started to say non-sense verses that had nothing to do with the customer.

Everyone was horrified on seeing Rose like this. Then, suddenly one of his friends took away the telephone from her and started to talk with the caller. But, he noticed that call was disconnected. He checked the phone log and found that the call was disconnected for a long time before. It was active only for 32 minutes. But, she had been talking for around an hour. What had it meant? That, she had been talking to herself only or she had gone mental. Was she fooling everybody? How did she suddenly become skinny?

Rose was still behaving abnormally. She was like a sitting statue. Nobody dares to ask her anything. Everyone was frightened of her.

Then, one of them asked her, “What happened to you, Rose?”

He was shivering while asking. Instead of answering him, Rose stood up and moved towards the exit gate of the office. She did not even bother about her stuff. A pin-drop silence occurred when she went away. Everybody was thinking, what just happened?

After a few minutes, employees started to talk to each other about Rose. Everyone was shivering and breathing quickly. They had already heard from somewhere that the office in which they worked was a haunted graveyard and many had already resigned because of it.

A few employees started to share the paranormal experiences that they encounter in the office. This made the environment even more haunted. Employees could not stop themselves and they just ran away from there as soon as it was possible.

The next day in the office was quite unpleasant. Rose was absent. Other employees thought that she was sick. They all decided to visit his house to see her. They left the office and went to Rose’s house. They rang the doorbell. A man opened the door. They asked him about Rose. But, he said that Rose had left this house six months ago.

They all returned back to their office. They were now even more scared. But, they did not want to leave their lovely colleague Rose. So, they enquired with the manager about her. He took out her documents in which her permanent address was mentioned. They got the address where her mom and dad lived.

The next day, they visited her mom and dad’s house hoping to find Rose there. Her father let them in and served them coffee and tea. They asked where Rose is. When they asked this question, he started to cry out loud. They asked him what had happened. He told them everything.

He told them, “nearly six months ago, Rose died in a car accident. When we heard that she had met with an accident while returning from the office, we ran to the hospital to see her. But, she had already left the world. The hospital Manager gave us her dead body and we buried her at the cemetery near the Saffron Global Office.”

He further said to them, “The day before yesterday, I made a phone call in the Saffron Global Office for an inquiry. A girl received the call. Her voice was the same as Rose’s voice. She also said her name was Rose. I thought she was just another employee. Nothing else. When I was about to cut the call, she asked for my name. I told her my name. Then, she called me Dad, and the call got disconnected due to a network issue. I started to cry then. I do not know who she was. I tried to call her again. But, there was a coverage issue.”

Nobody could believe their ears. A girl whom they had been seeing at the office every working day had actually died six months ago. It meant that they were seeing a dead girl or a ghost every day in the office. All the employees just dropped the cups of coffee and just broke out of Rose’s house. One of them told that haunted incident to Rose’s dad. When he heard that, he just died instantly due to a heart attack.

This creepy news spread in the whole office. Everybody drew up their resignation letter and handed it to the manager. The manager too resigned. From the next day, nobody came to the office. And, that Saffron Global Office turned into a deserted building. It started to appear even creepier than a graveyard.
