Third Tallest Statue

This statue of Gautama Buddha is situated in the Myanmar town of Khatakan Taung, close to Monywa, and is perched atop a 115.8-meter (380-foot) seat. The construction was finished on February 21, 2008, having started in 1996. Ven. Nãradë, the Chief Abbot, gave it the order.[Reference required] For a few months until the September 2008 completion of the Spring Temple Buddha, it was the tallest statue in the world. The Laykyun Sekkya statue shows the Mahaparinirvana (Mahaparinibbana) tableau with a standing and reclining Gautama Buddha next to each other.

The 1960-founded Maha Bodhi Tahtaung Buddhist religious complex is home to the Laykyun Sekkya statue. The throne is 75 feet (23 meters) high, the statue is 381 feet (116 meters) high, and the total height of the stairs is 109 feet (33 meters).

As a result, the Laykyun Sekkya monument is now 612 feet (185 meters) tall overall.

Laykyun Sekkya is situated 7.50 miles (12.07 kilometers) from Monywa town and has around 33 stories. Monywa is situated in the heart of the Chindwin Valley, 136 kilometers (85 miles) northwest of Mandalay.

As of right now, the Statue of Unity (597 feet; 182 meters) in India and the Spring Temple Buddha (420 feet; 128 meters) in China are the two tallest statues in the world, ahead of the Laykyun Sekkya.
