Strange Objects Seen on Mars and Moon

Tonight, under the dark sky filled with countless stars, one thought comes to all of us: Are we alone in this universe? Among these billions and trillions of stars and planets, is there not even a single world where life exists like it does on Earth?

Even if, for a moment, we assume that Earth is the only place with life, the human mind still struggles to accept it. And then another question appears: if life truly exists only on Earth, what is the purpose of all these countless shining stars?

These are the questions humans have been trying to answer for centuries, spending billions of dollars searching space to discover whether life exists on other planets. If it does, what would aliens look like? How would they live?

To begin this search, NASA first decided to explore the Moon because it was the closest celestial body to Earth—around 384,400 kilometers away.

In 1968, for the first time, a spacecraft called Apollo 8 was sent toward the Moon. Its mission was simple: orbit the Moon and return safely. Three astronauts were onboard, and it took them about 68 hours to reach the Moon.

While orbiting the Moon, they did not see anything unusual, but they became the first humans to witness Earthrise—seeing Earth appear above the lunar horizon, similar to how we see sunrise and sunset. They captured one of history’s most famous space photographs.

The following year, in July 1969, NASA’s Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon for the first time. Commander Neil Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface. Along with Buzz Aldrin, he spent around 2 hours and 15 minutes walking on the Moon and collected soil samples before returning to Earth.

NASA explains that because there is no wind or atmosphere on the Moon, astronauts’ footprints can remain visible for extremely long periods.

Although NASA’s Moon missions did not discover aliens, some people have pointed to satellite images of the Moon and claimed they show strange structures.

Alien researcher Scott C. Waring has repeatedly claimed that NASA images contain unusual formations that could suggest underground alien activity. In one case, he highlighted what he described as a strange opening or structure visible in lunar photographs. Later image updates led to speculation that the feature disappeared—but scientists explain such changes as differences in lighting, image angle, resolution, and updated processing.

Another claim involves the Moon’s far side (often incorrectly called the “dark side”). Scientists discovered unusual underground structures there, but research suggests these are linked to the Moon’s geological history rather than alien construction.

Moving to Mars, humans have sent many missions there. Mars is often called the Red Planet and can be hundreds of millions of kilometers from Earth depending on orbital positions.

Many Mars missions have failed during landing, while successful rovers have sent back thousands of images.

These photos have inspired many alien theories.

Scott Waring and others claimed they found pyramids, faces, bones, skulls, statues, engines, and even signs of ancient civilizations in Mars images.

One of the most famous examples is the “Face on Mars”, photographed in 1976 by Viking 1. At first glance, it looked like a giant face carved into the surface.

NASA later explained that higher-resolution images showed it was simply a hill shaped by shadows and lighting.

Other claims—such as “alien bones,” “fish-shaped rocks,” glowing lights, or statues—have generally been explained by scientists through a phenomenon called pareidolia, where the human brain recognizes familiar patterns in random shapes.

However, Mars remains fascinating because scientific evidence suggests that billions of years ago, Mars likely had rivers, lakes, and possibly conditions suitable for life. Scientists continue exploring whether microbial life may once have existed there.

Right now, there is no confirmed evidence of alien life on the Moon, Mars, or anywhere else. But the universe is unimaginably large—and the search continues.
