More than 400 Russian soldiers surrendered! Stupid people are worse than bad people

By 青木Published 7 days ago 7 min read

A few days ago, I mentioned in my article that a Russian army of about 400 people participating in the Battle of Kharkov was surrounded in a gravel plant (some translated as aggregate plant) in Vovchansk and was "on the verge of surrender." On June 16, the Telegram Channel reported that this group of Russian soldiers began to surrender one after another, with the largest number of about 30 people. On the 18th, Forbes News reported: 400 Russian soldiers laid down their weapons and surrendered to the Ukrainian army after "countless casualties" after the failed breakout!

When I saw this news last night, I couldn't help but hum a song I sang in elementary school:

"The sun in the west is about to set, and the end of the devil is coming..." Now, will the Russians organize a death squad to rescue this group of surrendered soldiers? Most likely not, they have no other strengths except hiding in the stinky ditch, chewing on scraps and shooting cold arrows.

Some people say that this group of people are not bad, they are just stupid.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German theologian and member of the anti-Nazi resistance movement, once said: "Stupidity is not an intellectual defect, but a human defect." People have paraphrased this sentence as "Stupidity is a moral defect", and this paraphrase has spread more widely than Bonhoeffer's original words. I personally think that the paraphrase is more profound and more direct than the original words, because stupid people cannot distinguish right from wrong, regard kindness as an enemy, and they will never do good things. In a sense, stupid people are worse than bad people. Because real bad people are very smart, they know their badness, so as long as it is not a matter of life and death, they will pretend to be kind and restrain themselves when doing bad things. Stupid people are so primitive and simple that they can't even pretend to be kind. This is a completely hopeless group! So I say: I am not afraid of bad guys, I am only afraid of stupid people. For example, in February 2023, a video went viral online. In the video, a Ukrainian prisoner was standing and smoking. He was shot dead after saying "Glory to Ukraine" under the gun of a Russian soldier. Before the incident was confirmed, the Russians denied it and said it must be fake. The main reason was: If it was true, the person who shot the video could only be a Russian soldier. How could they be so stupid as to upload the evidence to the Internet? This sentence seems to make sense, but it is only valid in one case: that is, the Russian soldiers who shot and the Russian soldiers who shot the video both believe that executing prisoners is an immoral act and a war crime. Obviously, the Russian soldiers at the scene did not have such a concept in their minds. They regarded the execution of prisoners of war as bravery and glory, otherwise they would not have been able to show off online. Yesterday, the Kyiv Post reported that Ukrainian Attorney General Kosik said that Russian soldiers beheaded a Ukrainian prisoner of war in the Donetsk region. This video was also shot by the Russian soldiers themselves and uploaded to the Internet to show off. They did not feel ashamed of it, but regarded it as a glory. In today's world, Russian soldiers are not the only ones who regard this shame as honor.

On October 7, 2023, after Hamas attacked Israel, killed more than 1,200 people and kidnapped more than 200 hostages, a large number of bloody and cruel videos of the scene were circulated on the Internet. These videos were all shot and uploaded by Hamas itself.

They did not take the initiative to provide evidence of their crimes, but regarded this bloody killing as their own military exploits.

All these people are fools who can't distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil. There is no kindness in their hearts. They can only accept instructions like robots and have no ability to think at all-of course, they always mistake instructions for the results of their own thinking.

However, it must be admitted that those who defend these fools who are so stupid that they don't know they are bad are not too stupid, because they at least know the standards of right and wrong, good and evil.

They are just simply bad, insidious and cunning. When they do anything bad, they wave the banner of justice and kindness, although in the eyes of all discerning people, this banner has actually been riddled with holes and tattered.

In isolation, whether it is a simple bad guy or a fool, they can't cause much damage, because bad guys know they are bad and are more restrained when doing bad things; fools can't do much bad things because of their stupidity.

What is really terrible is that bad guys gather fools under their command to do bad things together. The former plans bad things, and the latter is responsible for implementation; the former also packages the bad things done by the latter to deceive people all over the world who don't know the truth.

When the deception loses its effect, they intimidate.

Recently, Serbia's Vucic said in an interview with the media that Europe will go to war with Russia, and World War III may break out in the next 3-4 months.

"The train has left the station, and no one can stop it!" Translated into plain language, it means that Europe can no longer aid Ukraine, let the Ukrainians surrender, and give the Ukrainian territory that the Russians want with both hands, otherwise, a war will break out, and Europeans will suffer, so quickly put pressure on your people in charge to stop supporting Ukraine!

This is bad, not stupid.

When the Russian army has an advantage in the war, they keep silent and hide at home to enjoy themselves; but when the Russian side is in danger in the war, they will immediately jump out and pretend to be angels of peace.

The surrender of more than 400 Russian soldiers after being surrounded is not a big problem in itself. After all, there are currently 700,000 Russian soldiers on Ukrainian territory - several military think tanks estimate that there are about 450,000 to 500,000 Russian soldiers. More than 400 people are just a drop in the bucket.

However, it not only proves that the Russian side has failed in the Battle of Kharkov, but also becomes a sign of the change of offensive and defensive forces.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) assesses that the Ukrainian army has now turned from defense to offense. All this is only due to two factors: one is that the weapons and ammunition aided to Ukraine are in place, and the other is the lifting of the arms ban.

Next, after the F-16 comes on the stage, there will be more and bigger dramas.

In the past two months, Ukraine's missile drones have focused on attacking Crimea's air defense system. Its official data shows that at least 15 air defense systems have been destroyed. Observers believe that this move is precisely in preparation for the F-16 to appear.

Today's headlines are all about the Russian leader visiting the Jin Kingdom overnight.

I checked the major media, and although they all reported it, the "friendly countries" were not "surprised".

In the words of the Jin Kingdom TV station, "the two bravest people in the world" came together.

I can't help but think of a movie I watched when I was a child, "The Meeting of the Two Heroes", in which Li Zicheng and Zhang Xianzhong shook hands and hugged, and then nothing happened. It makes sense that the "friendly countries" are not "surprised", because this "Meeting of the Two Heroes" has not yet foreseen any actual effect. Even if there is, the countries that aid Ukraine have always had a principle for more than two years: if you don't move, I won't move; if you increase one foot, I will increase one foot; if you are ten feet taller, I will be ten feet taller.

There are unconfirmed reports that the United States is forming at least one F-16 fighter squadron (about 24 F-16 fighters), together with the pilots, to become the Ukrainian version of the F-16 Flying Tigers.

As early as the beginning of 2023, public opinion had discussed the feasibility of recruiting retired F-16 pilots from Europe and the United States. At that time, Dan Hampton, a retired lieutenant colonel and senior F-16 fighter pilot of the US military, said that there was a large group of people like him who were willing to fly for Ukraine without salary. These people are skilled and can maximize the effectiveness of the F-16, which is many times better than the newly trained pilots in Ukraine.

There are tens of thousands of retired pilots in Europe and the United States who have more than ten years of experience in flying F-16. In addition to those who volunteer to participate in the war, they can also be hired with high salaries, and there will definitely be a large number of people who will respond - earning high wages and doing the justice work they like, why not!

I estimate that the Ukrainian version of the Flying Tigers is just a backup. If the enemy takes upgraded measures and poses an effective threat to the F-16, these Flying Tigers will definitely appear and reproduce the power of 80 years.

The war has been fought to this day, and the outcome is no longer in suspense.

Some people on the Internet say that our generation is really lucky. We have witnessed one devil after another being sent to hell. In the next few years, we will also witness new history.

These words are true!
