There was a minister of a small border country who had a daughter who was famous far and wide.

Now the minister's daughter had grown up and was old enough to marry.

One day, a shepherd came from a neighboring country. The young man was handsome. Although he wore simple clothes, the thirty sheep he drove had golden wool. The minister did not like the young man, but liked the young man's sheep.

So the minister served the shepherd with good wine and meat, and let his daughter peep in from behind the window of the drawing-room, and if she saw the shepherd, she could follow him.

The daughter of the minister caught her eye on the shepherd at once. She thought that this young man was simple and diligent, otherwise how could his sheep grow so fat?

But the minister's daughter wanted to try the shepherd's heart again, so she made no comment. That night, after everyone had gone to bed, she quietly went to the yard outside the temporary wooden fence of the sheep pen, opened the wooden door of the pen, and let the five sheep go.

The next morning, as soon as the shepherd got up, he didn't care about anything else, and first went to take care of his beloved sheep. When he got outside the sheep pen, he was a little dumbstruck, and he couldn't count the sheep.

The shepherd was very honest, and he took the initiative to explain the situation to the minister, and said that he was willing to go back to his hometown and come back with five more sheep.

The minister said, No need, but my daughter does not seem to like you.

Hearing this, the shepherd looked disappointed, but after thinking about it, he made a request to the minister, hoping that he could show him his daughter, and it would be worthwhile to come, and that the remaining twenty-five sheep would be kept as a greeting gift.

The minister was very pleased, he agreed to the request of the shepherd, and arranged for his daughter to dance at the dinner on this day, as a reward for the shepherd's gift of sheep.

At the dinner party, the minister's daughter danced as hard as she could and circled the shepherd five times...

The shepherd understood that it was she who had set the five sheep free, and at the same time he was deeply attracted to this beautiful girl.

The five golden sheep had run away into the forest beyond the moat, and an old herb-gatherer witch was overjoyed to see them, for the magic potion she was preparing was missing the rare golden wool.

By her magic, the old witch cut all five sheep bald, and put the golden fleece which had fallen all over the ground into a great bundle.

But... Where did this rare golden sheep come from? The old witch was insatiable and wanted more golden Fleece!

The old witch took out her crystal ball, and soon found another twenty-five golden sheep in the minister's house.

At once the old witch mounted her broom and flew to the minister's house.

The shepherd and the minister's daughter came out of the minister's house to return to the shepherd's hometown to be married.

On the way, they saw the old witch flying out of the town, with twenty-five golden sheep running below her. But the golden sheep, enchanted by the old witch, ran twice as fast as usual, and the shepherd managed to catch the one that fell last.

"What to do? Your sheep have been stolen by the wicked witch." The minister's daughter stamped her feet with anxiety.

The shepherd smiled. "There's no hurry." He touched the golden sheep in his arms, "As long as we have this sheep, we can find the sheep."

The two young men found the minister, but the minister's family members were afraid of death, and would not follow the shepherd and the minister's daughter to the old witch's house to get the sheep back.

The shepherd and the daughter of the minister had no choice but to take the torch and go alone.

The sheep led the way, and they went smoothly into the forest, and came to the house of the old witch. It was a terrible place, but neither the shepherd nor the minister's daughter was afraid, and the lamb who led the way was brave, and did not utter a bleat.

Finally, in the woods behind the house, they found twenty-four golden and five bald sheep, all tied up in trees.

But it was so late that the old witch was already asleep. The shepherd told the Vizier's daughter to drive the sheep away first, and he set fire to the old witch's house in front of it and behind it. Soon the whole house was in flames, and the sleeping witch woke up with one loud cry and was silent.

The shepherd and the minister's daughter drove their sheep to the shepherd's homeland.
