A journey into my past life as Nefertari

Ancient Egyptian Priestess and Scribe

I had always felt a strong connection to ancient Egypt, even as a young girl. I was fascinated by the intricate hieroglyphics and the elaborate artwork that adorned the temples and tombs. Always feeling like I had lived a past life in that ancient land, but never truly believed it until one day, when I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City.

As I wandered through the Egyptian exhibit, I felt a strange pull towards a particular artifact - a beautiful papyrus scroll that depicted scenes of daily life in ancient Egypt. As I gazed at the delicate script and the intricate drawings, I felt a sudden jolt of recognition - I’d seen these images before, in my dreams.

Over the next few months, I became obsessed with learning more about ancient Egypt. I read every book I could find on the subject, and spent long hours studying the hieroglyphics and the artwork. I even began to have vivid dreams of a past life in that ancient land.

In my dreams, I was a young woman named Nefertari, who lived during the 5th dynasty BC. Nefertari was a priestess and scribe, who served in the temple of the goddess Isis. She was responsible for performing religious ceremonies and rituals, communicating with the gods and goddesses, and interpreting their will for the people. She was also a skilled scribe, who spent her days recording important information and keeping track of the kingdom's finances.

As I delved deeper into my dreamworld, I began to feel like I was actually living in ancient Egypt. I could feel the hot sun on my skin, the cool breeze off the Nile, and the weight of the elaborate jewelry and clothing that marked my status as a priestess.

Despite the challenges and limitations of her role as a woman in that time period, Nefertari was respected and revered for her knowledge and skills. She was able to use her position to influence the people around her and to make a positive impact on her community.

As I compared Nefertari's occupation to that of current day time, I realized that there were some similarities and some stark differences. While women in today's society have more opportunities for occupational roles, there are still significant barriers to gender equality and women's empowerment.

I knew that I had a unique opportunity to use my knowledge of ancient Egypt to make a positive impact on the world. I began to volunteer at local museums and cultural centers, sharing my love of the ancient world with others and working to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

As I delved deeper into the world of ancient Egypt, I felt like I was uncovering a part of myself that had been hidden for centuries. I realized that my past life as Nefertari was not just a dream, but a part of my soul that had been waiting to be rediscovered.

In the end, I felt grateful for the opportunity to connect with my past and to use that knowledge to make a positive impact on the world around me. I knew that my journey was just beginning, and that there was still so much to learn and discover about the ancient world. But I was excited to continue on that path, and to see where it would lead me next. I want to end by saying, I know my future is bright. I will always remember this amazing quote…

“The past is in your head. The future is in your hands.” -Brian Ford

You cannot change the past, nor your past lives. You can however, shape your future.

I too have a fascination for the Egyptian history. Like all history of old, each has it's own unique story. This is a very interesting walk in time.
