Will The Bold and the Beautiul Borrow From A General Hospital Baby Storyline?
There may be a twist that affects Daphne, Steffy, Carter, and Finn.

A possible borrowed storyline
Is The Bold and the Beautiful about to give viewers a twist on a baby storyline borrowed from General Hospital? If they go down this road, many lives will be affected, and friendships might end.
Soaps often have similar storylines, sometimes simultaneously, but the writers always say it's a coincidence. Still, longtime GH fans who watch B&B might see a parallel to something that happened in Port Charles thirteen years ago.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) agreed to become a surrogate for her best friend Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampragna) in 2013.
Maxie was implanted with their fertilized egg but later miscarried and kept it to herself. On New Year's Eve, she slept with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), became pregnant, and passed the baby off as Lulu's.
The truth eventually came out, and Maxie in time gained custody of her daughter, Georgie Jones Spinelli (Lili Fisher). It took years before Maxie and Lulu could rebuild their friendship and trust one another again.
What will Steffy and Carter do?
On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy Forester Finn (Jackie Wood) slept with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who is insisting they keep their secret to themselves.
On Wednesday, Steffy was queasy and suspected she might be pregnant. Carter and Daphne Walton (Murrielle Hillary) had just announced they need a surrogate, and Steffy said she woud do anything to help them have the child they desire.
If Steffy is pregnant, she will probably tell Carter first, and the two of them will decide what to do next. A paternity test will determine who the baby's father is, but that's down the road.
Meanwhile, this will be a huge secret to keep from everyone. Steffy's behavior is already raising eyebrows, so if she does have a bun in the oven, she will be off the rails.
Is Steffy capable of such deceit?
GH fans know that Maxie has a tendency to leap before looking and make bad decisions. Steffy, however, is level-headed and as a CEO, used to making major decisions.
Under normal circumstances, she would not likely try to pull off a scam but she does not want to risk her marriage or hurt John Finnegan (Tanner Novlin). Could Steffy pretend that she went through with in vitro and pass the baby off as Daphne's?
Will she and Carter be strong enough to tell the truth to their spouses? Can Steffy agree to give birth and hand over the child to the Waltons? If she lies by saying Finn is the father, something will happen down the road that brings the facts to light, and all of their lives will be affected.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will be at odds with Carter, who is his best friend. Daphne and Finn will feel betrayed, and the fallout will affect Forester Creations and everyone in their families.
If a baby is born and they can all put their differences aside, Carter and Daphne will have a child, even though he or she won't belong to both of them. This situation will either tear them all apart or make a way for forgiveness and redemption.
Is Steffy pregnant? Will she carry to term, and is the baby Carter's? Can Finn and Daphne forgive their spouses whether there is a pregnancy or not? However, it turns out there will be many twists and turns along the way for Carter, Daphne, Finn, and Steffy.
The longer the secret remains, the more damage will be done. Stay tuned to The Bold and the Beautiful and watch how the Finns and Waltons handle this difficult situation and learn how it plays out.
