What really happened between Ava and Harris at the police station on Days of Our Lives?

Are Ava and Harris working together?

Nothing is ever as it seems on daytime television and this may have been true Thursday on Days of Our Lives. Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) has been trying to get Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) to come clean about her connection to Clyde Weston (James Read) but to no avail. When Ava and Stefan Dimera (Brandon Barash) were being questioned at the Salem PD on Thursday's episode she did admit that Clyde had threatened her son Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) unless she worked for him.

Ava claims she did not accept Clyde's offer but Harris looks as if he does not believe her. Harris says he needs to talk to Ava alone and they leave the interrogation room where Stefan, Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gerrig) look baffled. Michaels tells Ava he loves her and that she can tell him anything. She warns that he should drop the matter because it might put him in danger.

Days of Our Lives viewers know that Burton's one-year contract was up and he has already returned to taping scenes as Jason Morgan or General Hospital. The rumor mill suggests Harris will be shot and possibly die. Whatever happens, fans know that Burton's character will soon be gone from Salem.

Is Ava trying to keep Michaels safe?

On Thursday, after Harris tells Ava he loves her the two have a passionate kiss. When the scene cuts back to those in the interrogation room they hear Ava scream for Harris to leave her alone as she slaps him. Ava enters the room shouting that Harris needs to be kept away from her and is asked if she wants to press charges but she says no. Rafe asks Michaels what happened and the scene ends.

Ava may have improvised because she loves Harrisd and does not want Weston to end him. She could be setting him up so he will leave her alone and not be in the middle of drug trafficking in Salem. There is also the possibility that while they were out of sight Ava came clean and she and Harris came up with the ploy and will work together to take down Weston.

Spoilers are projecting two different scenarios where Harris is concerned and they both revolve around Everett. One theory is that Lynch is working with Weston and he is part of the drug problem in Salem even as he writes about it in the Spectator. The second suggestion is that Everett has some type of lasting trauma from being in a coma and may have mental health issues.

February Sweeps will bring excitement to Salem

February Sweeps is supposed to be when the Horton House catches fire and Harris is shot. The fire could always be an accident and Weston may not have anything to do with Michaels unfortunate situation. Some spoilers tease that Lynch might be involved in both as his past is pretty sketchy. He was married to Jada while dating Stephanie Johnson ( Shelly Hennig).

Whether Michaels lives or dies Ava will be heartbroken and blame herself for his shooting. If he is shot while protecting her this will be an even bigger blow.
