Briana Femia as Bailee Adams

I learned about this movie months ago, when it was known as Sinister Sorority, and once I found out about this film hitting Lifetime, I anxiously waited for the announced airdate. This was a good one, centering on Beta Delta Chi sorority member Jana Spicer, whose search for new members led her to encounter Bailee Adams, who was looking to join and voiced her ardent beliefs about sisterhood. Her goal of joining the sorority hit a snag, as Bailee was informed by Jana that the last remaining spot was going to a girl named Cori, who was a legacy. This dismayed Bailee immensely, so what does she do? Nothing, just attacks Cori, sends her over a ledge, and causes her to be placed in a coma. That's all.

So Bailee is in, and she is relishing over her newfound sisterly bond with Jana, which includes telling Jana about her twin sister, who committed suicide. However, as we see, Bailee is taking the whole "sister" thing very seriously, as she starts to borrow Jana's clothes--something that goes noticed by Jana's best friend Arielle. Bailee notices something of her own: Arielle using Jana's laptop, and she decided to use that in her plan to sabotage Jana's computer data, which resulted in Jana blaming Arielle in the mishap. However, that is not enough for Bailee, who later steals from the sorority's treasury to buy ketamine, which she uses to drug fellow sister Samantha and set up Arielle in that as well.

The result sees Arielle kicked out of the sorority house, but Bailee has another obstacle in the form of Jana's boyfriend, Kyle, due to the couple's plan to go on a trip together. Kyle finds himself in the shower with Bailee, who brutally attacks Kyle and places him in the same hospital as Cori, and we see Bailee approach Cori and ask questions about the attack...that she caused. Jana is frantic and panicked by the time she's approached by Arielle, who reveals that Bailee had been doing this sort of thing before and took her to the school's library, where Olivia (who works there) revealed everything about Bailee's past.

As Olivia revealed, her sister, Lynn, had Bailee as a roommate, and as time flew by, Bailee began acting clingy towards Lynn--to the point where Bailee actually invited herself to a Christmas family gathering. Lynn voiced her plans to transfer to another school to Olivia, but wanted to keep Bailee from finding out. However, Lynn supposedly committed suicide shortly afterwards, but as many already figured out after seeing Lynn's killing in the opening scene, Bailee was the villainess behind Lynn's death, which was staged as a suicide.

Speaking of Bailee, she had tracked Arielle and Jana to the library, where Bailee herself confronted Violet before killing her. She later knocked out Jana and informed her that she had Arielle tied up, and after Jana arrived (under Bailee's orders), Bailee revealed that she wanted Jana to help kill Arielle so they could become sisters by blood. Speaking of sisters, the climax revealed that Bailee actually murdered her twin sister because, as Bailee put it, her sister wanted her own life, leaving Bailee feeling abandoned. Arielle appeared to feel the effects of the drugs that Bailee used on her, but it was a ruse, as she helped Jana take down Bailee, who was pierced by Jana's sorority pin. As Bailee attempted to strangle Jana with her bare hands, she ended up with a pouch of ketamine forced into her mouth and incapacitated due to the effects. The film ended with Bailee in a psychiatric hospital, where she considered the orderly tending to her a "sister" to her.

Sisters for Life aired on August 15, 2021, three months after Lifetime aired a batch of sorority-themed films. The film featured Briana Femia as maniacal villainess Bailee Adams; Femia's second time playing a Lifetime villainess in barely over two weeks, as she was previously seen in Malicious Motives as the evil Sasha Webber. Bailee was your typical obsessed villainess, though she was very cunning and elaborate with her schemes. As cunning as Bailee was, she was also very deranged and immensely insane, and the film shows Femia portraying Bailee's psychotic demeanor to absolute perfection--right up to that final scene where Bailee is institutionalized. Plain and simple, Femia definitely has a future as a regular in Lifetime movies, as she was stellar in both of the films she has done already.
