Book Bound's Fall Box 2020 "Edgar Allan Poe" Themed

Am I the only person who gets a literal high from getting packages sent to my house? Or does your amazon delivery guy know your Corgi name and bring your dog treats? Okay just me, however if you are one of the many people who understand the struggle of hiding packages from your husband, or have to tell your spouse that it was "on sale" as a justification for buying said item, then I have the latest fast growing company to keep an eye on.

Subscription boxes seem to have taken over the world the last several years. I remember when the big ones were only FabFitFun, and now there seems to be a subscription box for EVERYTHING! If you have a passion or interest, there is usually a company doing it or making it better.

The bookish community has grown significantly in the last several years, and it's become cool to be a book nerd again! Many companies have taken the approach of doing a monthly subscription service. Each month contains a book and 5-6 exclusive designed items, curated by small businesses. However in the last year Book Bound decided to enter the scene in an entirely new way!

Being a veteran owned company run by all females, I was highly intrigued! It's the first time since joining the bookish community, that I had come across something so unique and different. The owners took note of what several of the other boxes were doing, and decided to branch out and offer new potential subscribers something different! Let me tell you, I am far from disappointed!

Book Bound is the latest new bookish merch subscription box company. While they are a seasonal box, they aim to offer 10-12 hand made and high quality items! Often times, a lot of the items are hand made by the owners themselves. Rather than focusing on a theme based around a book, they went around basing theme of the box around authors that inspire them! An example is above where for their Fall Box the theme was Edgar Allan Poe. I was blown away with the quality of the items and the details put into each piece!

Each box always contains a drink ware item, exclusive wax melts, exclusive art print and coffee or tea! The owners decided to make wax melts, because they felt like many boxes were over doing candles. Personally I love the idea, because having an open flame around small children is not always ideal and the scents are to die for! For their winter box upcoming is Stephen King themed, which sold out and is currently waitlisted! And will be shipping on December 15th! I have already seen spoilers, and trust me when I say I am dying to get my hands on this box!

As of now they are a bookish merch company, however they plan on expanding as the company grows to include books in future boxes. So if you or someone you know is working on book now that they would like us to feature in a box, you can email the owners and they are accepting manuscripts to consider for the future.

The company also is going with an eco friendly approach with packaging. While they know that it's important to get your items to you safely, their goal is to reduce their carbon footprint while doing so! The intro cards are made of recycled materials, they also have reduced the amount of plastics that are included in their boxes, and use paper filling to cushion the items instead of bubble wrap. They also love to work with other veteran owned businesses or female run companies, so if you or someone you know is looking to partner or get your foot in the door I highly recommend Book Bound.

The items that were included in the box for Fall 2020 were as follows:

Enamel Pin and Key Chain (The Enamel Pin Design was also a Sticker as well that was included) Designed by Mauricio Brugnaro Junior.

Tea Set and Blood Orange Tea. Tea is from @fullleaftea

Book Mark designed exclusively by Book Bound

Coffin Storage Tin designed by Book Bound

Frosted Edgar Allan Poe Mug by A History Girl Fandoms

Edgar Allan Poe Diamond Painting designed by @lily_penelope_w

This box is seriously a must have for any book lover this holiday season! I highly recommend if you are starting your holiday shopping to check these guys out! The boxes are $50+shipping, however the amount of stuff and the quality of the items, I would say your money would be well spent!

Their Spring box theme for 2021 is Frances Hodgson Barnett who wrote works like The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Little Lord Fauntleroy All classics! While the box itself won't ship until next year, you can get an intro box to gift to your loved one while they wait for their spring box to arrive. This has some very cozy and cute items in it as well!
