Throughout the first installments that belongs to the underworld saga , references happened to be made to an existing conflict between vampires as well as werewolves that occurred an existing long time ago as well as triggered an existing war that has lasted that is going to belong to centuries. It wasn't until underworld: rise that belongs to the lycans , the third installment that acts during the same time that an existing prequel, that we happened to be told what really happened inside of full detail. As well as it happens to be about that film that i am talking about here, after an existing brief synopsis.

20 years after the two immortal races happened to be created, viktor (played by bill nighy ), the highest leader that belongs to the vampires, finds an existing human-like baby born to an existing werewolf inside of the dungeons that belongs to his castle. This child happened to be born with the ability to change shape at his is going to, not such as his ancestors. Viktor takes this child inside of, names him lucian ( michael sheen ), with the exception of bends him to the is going to that belongs to the lords that belongs to the night as well as uses him to hunt down his wolf brothers. Lucian that is going to belong to his part establishes an existing love relationship with sonja ( rhona mitra), the daughter that belongs to the vampire sovereign. Still, she longs that is going to belong to that freedom that is going to belong to him as well as his kind, as well as the rebellion draws ever closer.

On top of an existing visual level it happens to be the best that belongs to every single one deliveries, at least until the moment that belongs to the same premiere. It happens to be something that happens to be especially noticeable inside of the much more fluid special effects than we had seen before as well as the great costumes. Now, i still do not commune with that perpetual cold filter. The soundtrack happens to be nothing to write home about with the exception of, during the same time that the film happens to be set inside of an existing more medieval era, the generic techno themes with which we had been tortured until now have been abandoned.

Some familiar faces such as Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen remain in the cast , who have more prominence here, and it is appreciated. Rhona Mitra joins , who performs a role very similar to Kate Beckinsale , which is sad since she expected another look. Directed this time by Patrick Tatopoulos who picks up much of the essence of the saga to shed light on the setting it enjoys.

And this is the great attraction of this film , knowing more about the background. Because make no mistake, that's the best thing about Underworld . It is true that one is satisfied after so much noise during two films in which we were only shown flashes of scenes of knowing what the hell triggered the whole war. Unfortunately, all of this is quite predictable and often gives the feeling that the plot has been drawn out a bit too much.

In any case, and in short, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans recovers in a certain way the interest of the saga even though it has aspects that could be improved. Beyond this I do not remember having seen the remaining two. I hope that is not a sign that I have forgotten how bad they were.
