Two Night Stand - A Movie Review

The premise of 'Two Night Stand' is what caught my attention.

Get cozy, this is going to be one long weekend. Do you have any good snacks?

Two Night Stand escaped from a snowstorm and aired in theaters in 2014. After a one-night stand, two people are forced to spend another night together due to a snowstorm. During this time, Alec and Megan make a better connection.

The premise of Two Night Stand is what caught my attention. I did not think that I was going to enjoy this movie. Surprisingly, I was wrong. Two Night Stand demonstrates how important it is to get to know someone.

Miles Teller and Lio Tipton were outstanding. You never know what secrets anybody is hiding. I’m impressed with how well they dictated their backgrounds. Along with their sarcastic personalities. Their interactions are the best part of the film. Gradually, they transform from wanting little to do with one another to admitting that they are not the worst to be stuck with.

For a film like this, you need to have good chemistry. Teller and Tipton excelled, displaying remarkable moments of emotion. I was impressed with how well they challenged themselves. They accomplished their character dynamic.

Two Night Stand includes a small cast of characters, Jessica Szohr and Kid Cudi added the best comedic deliveries in the stories. The film also includes the talents of Berto Colon, Josh Salatin, Kellyn Lindsay, and the most memorable cops you’ll ever see in a film.

You can have a conversation about anything. The writers had a blast with the dialogue. Dialogue is written naturally. Because most of the film relies on dialogue it goes from casual talk to arguing in no time.

Two Night Stand has fun being what it is. Now it contains some of my new favorite lines. It has its humor, that’s for sure. Making rules for talking, Alec and Megan learn that they have more in common than they let on. We connect to the characters.

Films that take place in one setting are my favorite. Filmmakers made you feel like you were trapped in this apartment, too. Thankfully, we get out of it for a bit because if filmmakers spent the entire time in this one location, it would have been boring. The film offers creative opportunities. You’ll get a kick out of their plan to find another bathroom in the apartment.

Dating is a major theme in Two Night Stand. We are allowed to do what we please in the dating world just as long as we are careful. Be aware that there is a lot of sexual talk over the course of the film. That’s what it’s all about. If that’s a subject that you are not comfortable viewing, then don’t watch it. Know what you are getting into before you watch this film.

That’s not the only theme that is focused on. It’s tough finding what you want to do after graduating from college. What is happiness? Life in your 20s may be tough, but it all depends on the way you look at life. Challenge yourself. Continue to test your abilities and find your passion.

I like how Max Nichols connected to audiences. He worked closely with Teller and Tipton to develop a genuine bond. I was impressed by what story elements he came up with to keep the story going. There was never a dull moment. I was invested the entire time.

Two Night Stand is all about interactions. You never know anything about a person until you spend quality time together. I recommend Two Night Stand to couples. It’s more than what its premise is based around.
