'The Young and the Restless' viewers have strong opinions on Shaddam

Soap fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS have been making their opinions known regarding Mark Grossman and Sharon Case both on and off screen. The couple has been dating for close to 2 years and Case was seen wearing what looks like an engagment ring although no announcement has been made. Twitter and Instagram followers have been giving the duo best wishes and across the Internet, the majority of those who have weighed in agree that Grossman and Case make an adorable real time couple.

When it comes to their alter egos Adam Newman and Sharon Newman on screen the views begin to change. A number of those who enjoy the CBS soap want to see the duo reunite and kick Rey and Chelsea to the curb. Some Y&R viewers believe Adam and Sharon are toxic and that he will poison her if they get too close. Others say that Rey is the better man and Sharon should do right by her husband. The writers however seem to be going ahead with putting Shaddam back together based on Tuesday's episode. After talking at the Coffee House both Adam and Sharon were reminiscing about past conversations they had. Adam let Sharon know that he will always love her and said she would never love Rey the way she cares for him.

Sharon admitted this was true but said that the love she shares with Rey is stable. Viewers know that these two always find their way back to each other and with Rey tagging along with Chelsea things could get out of hand. Spoilers have teased that Chelsea might attempt to seduce Detective Rosales in order to get back at Adam and Sharon. What is more than likely to happen is that Shaddam will be the ones to cross the line. Melissa Claire Egan is supposed to be on an extended maternity leave but no timeline has been given. There also have been no reports as to how long Jordi Vilasusa will be off screen.

Spoiler alerts have been no help as they said that Shaddam was going to get back together by Christmas of 2020 but they drifted apart. Since that time, things have gone in a direction where Adam is being redeemed. His rescuing Faith and getting her to the hospital along with donating his kidney ae changing the minds of his family and a few associates. On Tuesday even Nikki admitted that she was proud that her stepson is trying to change but said she would keep her eye on him. Nick and Victoria have softened somewhat towards their half brother and the only person in Genoa City who still does not have any faith in Adam is Billy Abbott.

Spoilers indicate that Billy will have a talk with Sharon and remind her not to trust Adam. Billy hates his former brother in law in the same way that he is hated by Victor. The Newman patriarch told Mikki on Wednesday that Billy Boy did not know what was best for his own children. He never gives him the benefit of the doubt and Billy is doing the same where his former brother in law is concerned. Spoilers don't say what leads up to this conversation between Sharon and Billy but more than likely Shaddam will be seen in close quarters and this is what will set William Abbott off.

He will warn Sharon not to trust Adam but she probably will not listen. Without Rey and Chelsea in the way there is nothing to stop Shaddam from connecting on a deeper level. Some fans fo THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS have been saying on social media that because Grossman and Case are dating off screen their Y&UR characters deserve to be together. Others point out that Bryton James, (Devon) and Britny Sarpy are a real couple yet their altar egos Devon and Elena are not together.

Some fans are saying that it's a bad idea to put Sharon with Adam again because something explosive always happens and she ends up with a broken heart. The majority of fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS viewers who have responded thus far seem to support Mark Grossman and Sharon Case both on and off the CBS soap. Should Shaddam end up back together there will be onscreen chatter about them as well.

Faith has said she does not want Adam to destroy her mom's marriage again, Rey and Chelsea will naturally be alarmed and there is also the warning from Billy. Many viewers have expressed that they believe a Shaddam reunion is inevitable because the couple can’t help themselves. Adam is not able to keep his distance and Sharon does not have the will power to stand up to him and say no. If the writers so decree then they will reunite, even if only for a little while so stay tuned.
