The soap spoiler suggests that the laboratory mixed up the sperm and egg samples on The Young and the Restless because both Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Hilary had the same last name and that they grabbed Jack's sample because of his last name being Abbott. Abby has never been an Abbott so it's not clear why they would grab the wrong sample where she is concerend. This is daytime television so anything is possible.

There has been so much wild speculation where Dom is concerned that fans are becoming annoyed with all the theories. Initially, there were Y&R viewers who believed that Stich Rayburn ( Sean Carrigan) was the baby daddy but he left town and no one even mentions him anymore. There were spoilers that teased that somehow, someway against all the odds that Chance Chancellor ( Conner Floyd)'s sperm was able to produce his son.

What viewers do know is that Dominic needs a bone marrow transplant and this storyline is headed in some strange direction. Fans have thought that Abby and Devon would get together to raise their son and at one point it looked like Mariah Copeland (Cameron Grimes) might try to obtain custody of the child she gave birth to.

The Young and the Restless: Fans think the storyline is bizarre

This storyline has taken a lot of crazy twists and turns and viewers are desiring for there to be some type of closure to it all. Everything in Abby's life has been a rollercoaster since she married Chance on New Year's Eve 2021. She and Chance found out that neither of them would be able to produce a baby and they decided on a surrogate.

Chance went on an assignment then went MIA and in the meantime, Devon and Mariah stepped up to help Abby have a baby waiting when her husband came home. Stitch kidnaps Mariah and she later gave birth in captivity with Abby and Devon by her side. Unless something is revealed down the road there does not seem at this point to have been a purpose for Ben Rayburn being inserted into the equation.

Mariah dealt with Postpartum depression, separation anxiety, and PTSD from her ordeal. She became overly protective of and extremely attached to her "Bowie" and then "poof" she was magically cured and had soundness of mind again. Just as Mariah was getting her life back Devon began making unreasonable demands and desiring to spend time with his son. Abby came up with a shared custody agreement and then changed her baby's already much too long name.

Dominic Phillip Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor is every evolving

Abby named her son Dominic Phillip Newman Abbott Chancellor. He later became Dominic Phillip Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor and fans were outraged. Viewers don't like all the changes but this little boy is connected to the four most prominent families in Genoa City. Thanks to Mariah he also has ties to Sharon who has often felt like an outsider. This child is also double related to many characters on the CBS soap.

Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) is his aunt and also his cousin and Nick Newman is the child's stepgrandfather as well as his uncle. Devon is the bio dad and a cousin and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is a cousin and a great uncle. Chance is the adoptive father and also a cousin. Be on the lookout for The Young and the Restless updates that validate or disprove the wild specualtion. Jack certainly could use a major storyline and this would be huge.
