The Battle of the God's Eye Needs to Happen in the Final Season

If the writers change up the fight, they are going to piss off a lot of fans.

I'm currently reading the book that is based on House of the Dragon, and I'm starting to understand why book fans have been criticizing the show so much. There have been a lot of changes made, and while I do like the changes, I don't blame fans for being so bothered by these crazy changes for the show.

Major battles have either been off screen, dragons aren't present for all of the fights like in the book, and the ruthlessness of the characters is tame compared to how insane everyone is in the book.

However, I'm completely fine with this change of the characters, because the versions in the book would have been impossible to film in the show. Their actions are way too disturbing, and making everyone super evil would have taken a lot of people away from the show. Adding several good guys among a bunch of villains makes the story stand out, and this is one of the few changes that the show definitely needed.

Daemon was ten times worse in the book, and he was mostly described as a man that preyed on children. Even though the show is still disturbing with having Daemon marry his niece, at least the writers removed so much of his vile actions from the show.

Aemond was actually made sicker for the show, and I have a feeling the writers purposely added his sick love for his mother, since his character is honestly super tame compared to everyone else in the book. Yes, he is a mass murderer, but at least he is not falling for family members or wanting to harm women.

The reason why I'm bringing up both characters, is because I'm starting to get a little worried about a huge fight that takes place in the book between these two characters. It's known as the Battle of the God's Eye, that takes place in Harrenhal. Aemond and Daemon fight to the death, along with their two dragons, Caraxes and Vhagar. It's an epic fight, and both men fight with everything they have, including their dragons.

Daemon's dragon, Caraxes, ends up tearing into Aemond's dragon, Vhagar, while Vhagar tears into the other dragon's body. During this moment, Daemon charges at Aemond, literally jumping onto his other dragon. He stabs Aemond directly into his eye, the same one that had been cut out by one of Queen Rhaenyra's sons. Then both the dragons and their riders fall to their death, because they were literally in the air, fighting.

They crash into water, and both dragons are presumed dead. Aemond's bones are found later, and Daemon's body is never found. This leads to rumors that perhaps Daemon somehow survived, but everyone states that this is straight up impossible, so it's pretty much confirmed the Rogue Prince is dead.

If this fight is changed for whatever reason, the writers are going to piss off every book reader.

With this battle, this fight must remain the same.

It's one of the few battles in the show that must never change for any reason.

And if the writers decide to have Daemon survive for any reason, only to give him a spin off show, I'm going to be so bothered by this.

After reading this amazing fight, I think it's best if both men perish.

There is no way in hell that either of them are going to survive this fight. Including the dragons, because every single one of them literally fought to the death.

If this fight gets any sort of change...it won't sit well with anyone. The final season needs to end with a bang, and these two should 100% die together.
