Ten recommended anime’s to watch during quarantine

1. Demon Slayer ~ This anime is about a boy who’s family gets attacked by demons while he’s away one night, all of his family members die except one of his sisters. She has turned into a demon but still has human-like emotions. They go on a journey together to cure her, and slay demons causing disturbances.

2. Beastars ~ This anime is about a universe were all animals life together in peace. Well they try to, there’s still struggles when carnivores are following their instincts to kill smaller animals. This affects a wolf in high school as he tries to fight his instincts and find himself. I really enjoyed the backstories of the main characters and how complex the wolf’s inner emotions were, as well as his character development throughout the story.

3. Food Wars ~ This anime is basically like any real life cooking show, but 10x better. The food looks delicious, there’s also hits of comedy and the judges reactions to the meals are quite unique.

4. Mob Psycho 100 ~ This anime is about a boy who has powers that allow him to communicate with spirits and get rid of them, so he uses those powers working for a con artist who cares for him and the customers money. I liked the character development in this series because it improves as more obstacles ( spirits ) are defeated. And the action scenes are very well done. There’s also lots of suspense and thrill in almost every ep.

5. Violet Evergarden ~ This anime is about a women who was in a war, she lost both her arms and now has prosthetics. She goes to work for a company as a doll were she changes lives and opens hearts. I loved this anime, the backstory for the main character is amazing and it really explains why she acts and thinks the way she does. The other characters are beautiful and it’s really nice to see other minor characters lives and how she changes them for the better. As well as seeing how her helping them changes her.

6. 7Seeds ~ I honestly haven’t watched this one yet so lol. Even though I haven’t seen this anime yet, I’m super excited to watch it because it seems like it will be a nice thriller with action.

7. Pop Team Epic ~ This anime is basically a mash up of comedy scenes of two girls that have quite inappropriate humor. I really like this anime, the eps aren’t super long, the jokes are obvious and sometimes slightly odd. And there’s multiple parts in each ep so it’s a wonderful cluster of wildness. It definitely gives a good laugh.

8. Appare Ranman ~ This anime is a very new one, it only has one or two episodes so I can’t comment on it but I will be watching it. I’m super excited to watch this anime, I don’t know what it’s about yet but I’ve seen a bit of hype for it and just by the cover it looks interesting.

9. Castlevania ~ This anime is about vampires specifically Dracula who wants the human race to be extinct. I don’t want to have too many spoilers so I’ll leave it at that. I loved/ hated this anime, I didn’t actually hate it I just hated the end for one of the characters lol. But there’s lots of action throughout this series which I absolutely love, there’s also a hint of romance which is never bad in these hypes of animes. And it’s especially good because it’s not overdone to the point were it takes away from the main purpose of the anime itself.

10. Barakamon ~ This anime is about a man who does calligraphy and when he loses a contest and disrespects a well respected man. He moves to a little island where he meets wonderful young people who help him get inspiration for his passion again. I liked this anime, it was more of a slice of life meaning it was funny but nothing was fast pace or forced. Definitely something to watch with younger kids or just watch if you want a change from the previous action driven animes listed above.
