Amazon Prime’s highly acclaimed superhero series, The Boys, is finally getting a fourth season. Unfortunately, there’s no official release date yet, but some exciting teasers suggest it won’t be too much longer.

According to a report on CBR.com, the Season 4 finale has already been filmed, and creator Eric Kripke has posted an image online that hints at what’s in store.

The image in question features Vought Farms-branded potted meat, which Kripke claims is “everything a growing Supe needs.”

For those unfamiliar with the show, “Supe” is short for “superhero,” and Vought Farms is the nefarious corporation behind the creation and marketing of the world’s most powerful and famous superheroes.

It’s unclear what role this potted meat might play in the finale, but given the show’s penchant for dark humor and gruesome violence, it’s safe to assume it won’t be pretty.

Amazon Prime Video also got in on the teasing by posting a reply to Kripke’s tweet. The reply features an image of Timothy the octopus on a plate, with the message “No thanks, we brought our own snacks.”

Timothy is a character from the show who is a close friend of The Deep, a former member of the Seven (Vought’s premier superhero team) who has fallen from grace in spectacular fashion. The fact that Amazon chose to use an image of an octopus as a response is fitting, given the show’s penchant for bizarre and often disturbing imagery.

So, when can we expect to see Season 4 of The Boys? There’s no official word yet, but if filming has already wrapped on the finale, it’s likely that we won’t have to wait too much longer.

Production on Season 4 began in August of last year, and with any luck, Amazon will want to get it online as soon as possible.

The show has been a massive hit with both critics and audiences, earning multiple Emmy award nominations for its bold, audacious, and frequently shocking episodes.

Kripke has even hinted that there will be a Season 5, which is great news for fans who can’t get enough of the show’s dark humor, intricate plotlines, and incredible performances.

In addition to The Boys, there’s also a spin-off series in the works: Gen V. The trailer for the series is embedded below, and it looks like it’s going to be just as over-the-top and violent as the main show. If you’re a fan of The Boys, then Gen V is worth keeping an eye on.

It’s set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video later this year, and it promises to deliver more of the same dark, twisted, and hilarious superhero action that fans have come to love.

Final Words

If you haven’t already watched the first three seasons of The Boys, now is the perfect time to catch up.

The series is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, and it’s well worth checking out if you’re a fan of superhero stories willing to subvert and upend the genre’s traditional tropes and conventions.

The Boys is a show that takes risks, and while it’s not always easy to watch, it’s always compelling, engaging, and thoroughly entertaining.
