The Katzenjammer Adventures
When I was learning to read one of the word games my mother would have me play was with a dictionary in hand. She gave me a word to look up in the dictionary. Have me read the meaning of the word and then she picked one word in the meaning and for me look up.
ShadowsPubPublished 3 years ago in GeeksStill reading the printed newspaper
I still subscribe to the printed newspaper – The Miami Herald. Do you subscribe to a printed newspaper? I only do it for the tv listings, which I know I can get online, so maybe it’s really to support the printed paper. I always want to support the printed newspaper.
My Review of "The AristoCats"
So my girlfriend subscribed to Disney plus mainly for herself but one of the reasons why was the fact that I honestly haven't ever seen a lot of Disney cartoons. I lived in a pretty poor household that had a huge variation in ages. When I was a kid there was no Disney cartoons we just played with kids in the backyard.
Brian AnonymousPublished 4 years ago in GeeksThe Golden Girls
One of the most iconic shows regarding friendship is The Golden Girls, about a group of ladies who, by pure fate, entered each other's lives and forever changed them. The show was as memorable as the theme song that randomly pops in your head when you least expect it to. It is so much more than the "picture it" stories or the cheesecake fueled all-nighters. It is the epitome of friendship and just how far a person would go to protect it and keep it sacred.

15 90s Shows That Made Waking up Early on Saturdays Worth It
If you’re a child of the 90s, such as myself, there’s a lot of little things you probably remember about that decade that brings out all the nostalgic warm and fuzzy feelings.
Remembering Blockbuster
When I think of being a kid back in the late 90s, I think of things like Velcro shoes and matching Reebok tracksuits. But I also think of things like VCR and the beloved Blockbuster Video stores. Yeah, that's right. That really did happen. And what a beautiful time that was. You know, before the whole digital era came marching along and destroyed it all that is. That's sort of when we all became these fat lazy bastards who can't so much as pick up a remote without sighing in disbelief.
'Rainbow Brite;' Let's Go to Rainbow Land
As a child, a favourite of mine was the bright and colourful world of Rainbow Brite. A young girl called Wisp is brought to a grey, dull land, with a mission to bring colour to the fictitious world, by locating the Sphere of Light. She befriends a furry Sprite creature called Twink and a horse called Starlite. They come across a baby, who Wisp discovers is the key to her mission. The adventure begins…
Hayley DodwellPublished 4 years ago in GeeksWere You a Cabbage Patch Kids Mummy?
The Cabbage Patch Kids were the biggest toy fad of the 1980s. The most successful toy doll in the history of the toy industry. Every little girl wanted one. It was a must have Christmas present. Parents would search the shops for a Cabbage Patch Kid doll, which sold out very quickly! A riot even broke out in a shop, a week before Christmas in 1983; it made the front cover of Newsweek.

Homosexual Themes in 'The Merchant of Venice'
William Shakespeare made many well known popular plays throughout his life which are still relevant because of their themes and characters. Shakespeare’s play, The Merchant of Venice, has given rise to many disputes about whether one of its main characters, Antonio, is possibly gay. Antonio is a Venetian merchant who spends most of his time throughout the play glued to Bassanio because of a bond. But this isn’t all about Antonio. Portia’s sexuality is a question as well. She has sent many suitors away because she doesn’t want to marry them. Is this because she is not yet ready to marry or for other reasons that she is trying to keep secret? Does Shakespeare do this on purpose to play with readers minds?
