Movie Review: Opening Night
Opening Night has the kind of scrappy charm that you want out of a musical. It’s shaggy and flawed but it’s also fun-loving and freewheeling. The story of a Broadway stage manager struggling with personal demons from his own seemingly failed Broadway career, the movie may not have the polish of a Hollywood production but it makes up for it with moxie and the can-do spirit of an underdog production with nothing to lose.

The Cassandra Crossing
The late 70s saw quite a few disaster films but this one, released in 1976, sets itself apart for a few reasons. Starting with the ridiculous cast; OJ, Sophia Loren, Marin Sheen? And it doesn’t stop there. Richard Harris and Burt Lancaster along with the guy who played Hyman Roth in Godfather II. Labor cost was high for the time.

Many people group The Road to El Dorado with other DreamWorks failures and assume that since it was a box office bomb it was a bad movie. Self-Worth in Death of a Salesman
Arthur Miller’s most significant work touches on a wide variety of relatable themes and topics, perhaps none of which as relevant as the underlying motif of a person’s worth, both to themselves and to others. Willy Loman serves as a pivotal example of a person’s true worth, and how it can easily be misrepresented and incorrectly defined, but a varying value of self is displayed by other characters as well, namely Willy’s sons. The play eloquently relates ideals such as the American Dream to a person’s worth, and there is much disagreement and confusion over what truly defines a person as valuable. Death of a Salesman demonstrates the importance of a person’s self-worth and depicts the different variables that can influence an individual’s own value.

Jon Kent; The True Tragic Hero of 'Man of Steel'
There are a few problems with the Man of Steel movie. Many that have been hashed and rehashed at ad nauseam. There is one that I feel needs to be looked at a little more closely. That is the adaptation of Jon Kent as a character. Jon is Clark’s adoptive human father and the pillar of morals in Clark’s life. Jon Kent was nothing more than a normal, red blooded, average American man, trying to raise his alien son and help him to become the hero that we all know and love.

Show Review: Rick & Morty
The theme of the show is sci-fi/comedy set in the 21st century. Rick, the guy who looks like drunk Einstein, is so smart he has passed modern technology leaving normal people behind but keeping Morty with him as his sidekick. This is shown in the first 30 seconds. It is common to say Rick & Morty is like Back To The Future although there are only a few major similarities.
