Fairy Tale FanboyPublished 3 years ago in GeeksEveryone is right, and Everyone is wrong - A review of "Lullaby" by Chuck Palahniuk
I didn't know what to expect when I picked up Lullaby. With so many events going on right now, and the polarizing environment of social media, I needed a break from all that. I wanted something relaxed, chill, maybe romantic. Well, this book is certainly romantic, but probably not the most relaxing. And despite my want to escape and ease my worries on our current political landscape, Lullaby provides an interesting response to current affairs, a message that can vary depending on your lifestyle and view of the world.
Alejandro MelgarPublished 3 years ago in Geeks4 Ways The Joker's Story Is Better In The 'Suicide Squad' Official Novel
It's been 5 years since the release of David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Crazy to think, but since then we've seen the DC Extended Universe crumble into oblivion, Harley Quinn go on her own, and Task Force X rebooted with James Gunn at the helm. We all had high hopes for Suicide Squad, and a lot of those hopes went unfulfilled with Jared Leto's version of the Joker.

Trevor WellsPublished 3 years ago in GeeksAnother "Gunpowder Milkshake" Review
Needless to say, there are spoilers ahead. Please do not continue reading if you have not watched "Gunpowder Milkshake." I'll proceed with some general observations - then I'll give the warning. It also helps to have some context if you've seen any of the John Wick films and "Nobody," because some small details (which would not ruin the movies) follow. After that, it's up to you to continue.
Mimi SonnerPublished 3 years ago in GeeksHeels: Depicting the world of independent wrestling
When Starz announced they were producing a show based on a fictional wrestling league starring Stephen Amell there was a little skepticism that came with that announcement.
Reel VibesPublished 3 years ago in GeeksAndy Serkis’ Caesar: Ten Years of ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’
This month marked ten years since one of the last decades’ most beloved characters first swung onto the big screen. In Rise of the Planet of the Apes we saw the birth of Andy Serkis’ Caesar, a chimp who was taken from a laboratory to avoid being put down after his mother, in an act of defense, went on a rampage throughout the facility. This film presented itself in a very unique way for those who are familiar with the Planet of the Apes franchise. It was modern, set in contemporary times, and in a stark difference to the films that preceded it, did not utilize makeup and prosthetics for the look of the Apes. This film is notorious for being one that surprised audiences back in the summer of 2011. After the poor reception of Tim Burton’s 2001 Planet of the Apes, this film and the franchise overall did not have a high amount of energy and excitement going for it. The best way to describe the production and release of this film is acknowledging that it faced a clear uphill battle towards greatness and audience acceptance.
MovieBabblePublished 3 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "He's All That"
He's All That is a 2021 movie remake of the 1999 movie "She's All That." I fondly remember watching the older 1999 version years ago and I was curious how this one turned out. Looking back at the old 1999 version of the film, I do recognize that it wasn't a great movie, however I'm looking for the charm that the original had. At least with some charm this movie can hold it's own right?

Trevor WellsPublished 3 years ago in GeeksI Really Wanted To Like 'Sierra Burgess Is A Loser'
Originally published on Odyssey Online When I first saw the trailer for Netflix's "Sierra Burgess Is A Loser", I was excited. I was excited to see a female lead that didn't fit typical beauty standards (although Shannon Purser is still gorgeous), and the cast looked great. I was expecting a movie that was progressive and forward thinking, and something that would speak to higher truths about social media and modern high school life.
Alisan KeeseePublished 3 years ago in GeeksNetflix binge: Outlander

When visiting Craig Na Dun, a stone circle similar to - but a lot smaller than - Stonehenge, Claire is suddenly transported back into time to the year 1743. An English woman in the Scottish Highlands in the middle of the 18th century, what could possibly go wrong?
PAW Patrol
What’s your emergency? The PAW Patrol is on a roll! Puppy Power Baby! Our story starts in Adventure Bay where Gus (voice over by Tyler Perry) is driving to deliver his important load of maple syrup from Canada. After a mishap he is forced to swerve and winds up hanging from a suspension bridge. His only hope of rescue is Adventure Bay’s Emergency Response Team! The PAW Patrol with Ryder the lead, and puppies Chase, Marshal, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, (my particular favorite puppy being a Navy veteran of Desert Storm), and Skye.
