Basant KumarPublished about a year ago in GeeksMy Review of "Arrival"
Arrival is a science fiction movie that came out back in 2016. Denis Villeneuve was an up an coming director hot off the heels of the smash hit Sicario. I absolutely loved Sicario so I had to see this movie right away. I was blown away when I first saw it so I was hotly anticipating to this rewatch.

Cyn's WorkshopPublished about a year ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Lego Batman Movie"
The Lego Batman Movie came out in 2017. It was at the time when the Lego movie franchises were really strong. This movie skips to the same beat as those other movies but this one is based on the Batman character from The Lego Movie. I watched this back when it first came to theatres and I was kind of unsure what I thought of it when I first saw it. Watching it again I can see more of the appeal of this movie.

Welcome to the resistance! It may not be ideal to seek guidance on fighting authoritarianism from fantasy shows on streaming platforms, but we can still learn valuable lessons from them. One such show is "Andor," which can be found on Disney+. This show provides a detailed guide on how to organize a grassroots rebellion within the Star Wars universe. Another show that can provide insight on resistance is "The Witcher: Blood Origin," which can be found on Netflix. This show delves into the idea of resisting those in power, even when they have pointy ears.
Zohaib SunesaraPublished about a year ago in GeeksDoctor Who: The Companion Chronicles: Find and Replace Review
Back in 2010, when the idea of recasting anyone from Doctor Who who was no longer with us was still very much frowned upon, Big Finish released "Find and Replace", a Companion Chronicle that saw Jo Jones (nee Grant) travel back in time to the 1970s in order to confront her past, and reunite with her Doctor. In many ways, this is a very different type of Companion Chronicle: normally, they are reflections on past adventures by the companion from an older perspective, or occasionally two-handed dramatic conversations. "Find and Replace", however, is none of those things: rather, it is a chance for an older companion to step back into the life they left behind. And, in this case, with Jo Grant, it is an emotional rollercoaster, one that looks back on a well loved era of the programme with the due deference and respect that should be accorded to it.
