Rebecca Lynn IveyPublished 3 years ago in GeeksCinderella starring Camila Cabello is......
Former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello stars in her lead musical film debut as Cinderella in Amazon Cinderella and I gotta tell ya this film is weird and cheesy as f**k. I know as a musical fanatic I'm suppose to but this film was beyond pure crap. When I first watched the trailer I thought this film isn't gonna be all that.
Gladys W. MuturiPublished 3 years ago in GeeksSpoiler Review: 'The Card Counter' Starring Oscar Isaac
The Card Counter is among the most frustrating movies I have ever seen. The film stars Oscar Isaac as a professional gambler with a talent for counting cards. It’s a talent that he developed while in prison. While biding his time until release, he taught himself how to count cards and he uses that talent at casinos across the country. He’s smart about this talent, he never goes for big money, and he knows exactly when to walk away from the table to collect his winnings.

Fantasy is a fickle thing. Sugar to our minds, sweet and oh so addictive. It permeates us all in some way. From when the wheels first begin to turn and our brains start to think, fantasy fills our thoughts, allowing us to see our world and make sense of it. To understand people as characters, and why they do as they do. Fantasy is fickle, but so too is our reality.
Jason SheehanPublished 3 years ago in GeeksThe Magic of Stardust & Stormhold
Many fantasy stories have stolen my heart over the years and for different reasons. Harry Potter is full of amazing places, Percy Jackson and the Olympians turns people's flaws into their strengths, and The Chronicles of Narnia is the perfect form of escapism. But as much as I love Hogwarts, Camp Half Blood, and Narnia there is one magical land that seems to encompass the best of all worlds. And that is the kingdom of Stormhold.
C.R. HughesPublished 3 years ago in GeeksThe Cinematic World of Oz
The Wizard of Oz has been my favorite fantasy story since infancy, or so I’ve been told. My family owned a small collection of movies on laserdisc in their little apartment, all musicals. The Muppet Movie, Singing in the Rain, and Brigadoon were among them, but The Wizard of Oz was the clear favorite. I knew all the songs and watched it a thousand times.
Leslie WritesPublished 3 years ago in GeeksKate: Grit, Neon, and Heart
By: Miller Wilkinson Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kate is on its surface a by the numbers action revenge movie. The basic premise is Kate is an assassin who is poisoned, so she sets off on an adrenaline injection and rage filled revenge filled mission to kill the people responsible before she is out of time. Sounds like a cross between John Wick, Atomic Blond, and Crank right? It is and it is not. While containing elements of these films, Kate separates itself with its very grounded and gritty action while still having a strong emotional arc between Kate and her teenage accomplice Ani.
Feudal China
There are many different fantasy worlds that a lot of people instantly think of, such as the classic worlds of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. The problem with these though is that so many people talk about them all the time and often overlook all the other wonderful fantasy worlds that exist and are being created all the time. The best fantasy worlds have a nice touch of realism and mix in some authentic and rich culture.
Elizabeth TownsendPublished 3 years ago in GeeksMovie Review: 'Kate' Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead
Kate stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the title character, Kate, an assassin for hire under the guidance of Varrick, played by Woody Harrelson. Kate’s newest assignment is to take out the brother of a major Japanese criminal syndicate, possibly the Yakuza though that’s not made entirely clear. The hit job is complicated when the target’s daughter, a teenager named Ani (Miku Martineau), arrives at the location of the hit with her father.
